Instructions were not clear. Past warranty & tech support by time I opened it.

Thanks to your review... I'm now listening to preloaded music. Not my fav, but sounds good to me to hear something!

Will return later to view rest of video and figure out how to import my own media.

This was the MOST HELP video so far!

I'm now subscribed to your channel

    THANKS AGAIN!

  • finally a descent review, finally made up my mind. thanks

  • I noticed that you were able to put a video clip on to your Sansa player. What is the process to go from dvd/youtube to a supported file type for the Sansa?

  • i just got 1 yesterday i love it so far,i have jackass the movie on it,many songs and pics etc =)

  • i got one of these a couple years ago, and it randomly stopped letting me listen, or put music onto it. now all i can do is put videos and pictures onto it, it sucks.

  • just format it on your disk go to computer then connect your usb cord then connect your 260 to your usb cord then right click where it says sansa e260r and right click on that then scroll to format then click on format wait for it to refresh and delete everything on your 260 and then hopefully it well work it worked for me.

  • Thank you so much for the great review. I was between buying an iPod and this Sanza. I was leaning more into buying the Sanza but everyone got an iPod and i like to be different. This video had made the decision for me.

    Thank you

  • w00t

  • cool

  • Here's a warning for any Vista users. DO NOT BUY THIS MP3 PLAYER!!! My god, ever since I upgraded to the piece of crap OS known as Windows Vista, Sandisk REFUSES to support Vista or release any drivers! There are ways to Drag & Drop videos into your Sansa, but they are a lot less stable and crash my MP3 player all the time!

I dunno who to blame more. Microsoft for creating such a garbage OS, or Sandisk, for being too stupid to program a Vista version of their Media Converter.

    VISTA SUCKS!!!

  • this looks like its more comfterble than a nano, idk, i would prefer getting this instead

  • hahaha, losers, that's the E-200, while it is a good mp3 player, it does have allot of defects

  • how long can you have the mp3 player on until you have to charge it again? and does it take a long time to transfer videos?

  • hey dude i got 1 yesterday i have all the music i can ever want on it but im woundering how do i put movies on?i am so confused please reply!!!!

  • you cant

  • u have to convert them

  • use the bundled software or downlaod it online

  • when i try dowloading the vids it wount do it and i use my windows media player so do u know how to do it?

  • great review, i do see use for that fm recording feature. among the uses is recording music from FM transmitters. wonder if you can rename and tag the recordings.

  • best review ever

  • JESUS CHRIST.

buying one tomorow, i didnt know it had a scroll wheel.

  • XD im an idiot i forgot how to exit the fm radio mode can anyone tell me how lol

  • every time i try to put a video on it it says this file is not supported. Have any addvice?

  • hobos80, you gotta get a converter at the Sansa website an do w.e

  • he's does a GREAT review

  • The nano being comparted to the Sansa is the old nano. The new nano has a wider screen.

  • but you can compare the new nano to the new sansa Fuze.

  • lol, iPod looks so primal sitting next to the Sansa E260, the name even sounds cooler. and the sad thing is iPods crash WORSE than windows PCs.

  • and WAAAAAY more often.

  • I is there a way that I could put videos on my sansa e260 without the cd?Please respond.

  • yes there is, go to the sandisk website and you can find the download for the converter there

  • do you know how to convert video to sansa e260? please let you know if you do

  • Does the sansa e260 work with Windows Vista?

  • Yes it does. Actually even better than with XP.

  • I think your jelous because he has an MP4.

  • i love it but i just hate how you haved to charge it!

  • You have to charge every MP4!

  • genious...

  • It looks so teeny tiny when he holds it... it looks pretty darn big when I hold it.

  • just so u all know, thers a new version of the e-200 as far as i know, this version has loads of probs.. lol

the newer version is 3.0.0.1 or sumthing same price tho =)

  • It does have a lot of problems, but theres Rockbox for the sansa that fixes ALL THE PROBLEMS that the original firmware has.

  • yeah it works fine

  • some1 plz help, mine wont turn on at all i plugged it in the USB and it wont start at all. I tried holding down the menu button but that didnt do anything.plz help

  • Hold down the power button for 15 or so seconds. It reboots it. Happens to me all the time.

  • i have a sansa e260 and it is great! when the battery is done a like 2 to 3 years, you can just buy a new one. the ipods on the other hand, their batterys are welded into them which makes the life of them shorter.

  • idk if u said this on the video, but was is the formats for videos?

  • sweet i bought 1 of those except it was an 8gb lol

  • does sansa have games?

  • i bought the 2GB version about a year and a half ago. if not for all the freezing, this would be the best mp3 player on the market. it doesn't freeze THAT often but a few weeks ago, it started freezing a dozen times a day, so i got very frustrated and smashed it against the ground and broke its screen. so now, it's basically useless

  • Great Video

  • You are a redundant drone monster.

  • One nice feature that you didn't mention is that there are two USB modes to add music. The first is via playlists and such. The second mode turns it into literally a drag and drop memory device so you can simply add files and folders of music as if it was a memory card. No need to load additional software or deal with Windows Media Player.

  • This thing is an ipod KILLER!!!

  • Well, thats the best Review of the Sandisk Sansa E-260 Mp3 Player I found in the Web. Now I'll buy it. Its better then IPod i think.

    Thanks mobilitytoday!

  • This was an amazing review, and surprisingly enough, I DID want to know about the box. And that was not sarcasm.

My favorite feature by far is the radio recording.

    Thanks for this

    ^^

  • Very good review, it takes on all the future. Im going to by this now. I really liked it after i seen all the guides and everything on internet.

    Thank you!

  • stop promoting rhapsody! Don't support the RIAA behemoth that sues single housewives and dead people!!!!

  • I'm not entirely sold. The Zen V plus is pretty sweet too.

  • stop saying actual

  • i can't get the freakin videos to go on after converting, says error and the converter itself doesn't recongized the sandisk 260

  • ARE YOU SERIOUS ??? ARE YOU REALLY TELL US TO BUY THIS BULLSHIT OF SANSA?????

MY e260 is always froozen!!!!!!!!!! pfffff

  • Update your firmware, dumb*ss.

  • hey dumP*ass it's not supposed to be SOOO difficult when we buy a product

  • i'm sold.

  • it is an aswsome i did not know you could record the radio thanks, but stop piking on the ipod nano

  • i like this review but why do people that do this stuff have chubby fingers

  • great review, it's definitely solidified my getting this mp3.

  • Thanks for the great review, I've been looking to buy this one and this really helped me to see what I'll hopefully be getting.

  • Thank you very much. This will definitely help when deciding what I want to purchase. This player appears to be a great value buy. Good job.

  • how can i out youtube videos on my sansa?

  • nice review

  • it says the videos on my sandisk is on, but they are in the picture section. When I first got my sandisk sansa I hit format and it lost all the pics, vid, and music it came with is this the problem?

  • 1. did u get it from some1 and 2did u contact sandisk and 3. why the hell did u get the raphsody verstion

  • BTW, if you want to put in movies, you put the movie in windows movie maker (found in accessories for most windows OS's), say publish, drop the file size from whatever it was to 100 or 200 mb, and then stick it in the sansa media converter (with your sansa plugged in) and then say convert, it will break up the movie into multiple files, and there you have it, you can watch movies on the sansa.

  • Just got mine today, figured out all of the functions.

To put music into them, they must be mp3's, if they are not mp3's, get Audacity (free program)

and put your song in, and change the format to mp3, then all you have to do is click and drag your music straight into the mp3 player via the usb port. if it is a video/picture you are trying to put in, you must use the sansa media converter.

  • 1. what is the website you go to download music?

    2. How do you download the music?

  • i hvae a couple questions about that player..

1.does it have podcast and if it had podcast what can u get whit pod cast.

2.will the instalation softwear work with windows vista.

  • most likely, i have vista andd anything xp and over will work

  • i love it! i really want this!! and it's only $100 my nano cost $150 for only 2gb of storage. im saving up as we speak!

  • sell the nano on ebay get more money faster

  • for what do you need the cd?

    plz reply this comment

  • there is software on the cd for the sansa e260

  • wt do you mean by software?

  • for example: There is a program on the cd that's makes it easy to put music on your Sansa e260. I think you don't have to install the software, but it makes things easier.

  • i cant find it and just in case i dont where can you find it?

  • The CD is in the box that you bought together with the sansa e260, i think.

  • call sandisk they will send u 1

  • u need it for vids and photos but u can put songs in by windows midea player

  • its for converting vids and photos

  • n1 review

  • i just bought a e280 today, and i love it.

  • weeweewawa

  • Will the software work on Windows'98 Second Edition?

  • i guss try it

  • i just got this for chanukah it is SO COOL

  • very helpful,thank you

  • Well, the mp3 is pretty much the same except you cant view photos or video.

  • you can..

  • Aww man, I didnt know that sansa had a video one, I just bought the sasns mp3 player, But its still pretty kool.

  • hey guys i will like to know if anybody can help me fidn the CD to install the program in my pc please

  • its in the box

  • when i installed sansa media converter and i plugged in my sansa e260 my computer doesnt recognize it, help please?

  • dont use that use windows miedia player

  • Why not? I've never had any issues with media player and the 11 series is brilliant imo.

I used to use windows to drag and drop all my songs across to my mp3 players but i've realised it's so much easier to sync with media player now.

I spose it's not for everyone though.

And yeah i do agree, if sandisk want to make apple look a bit stupid they should include a wall charger, i've ordered the E260 as well, should be coming soon from canada :)

  • Dude this is not an ipod, It's a sansa mp3 player which of course is a better choice or alternative to any other expensive players. which eventually do the same thing.

  • VERY VERY GOOD REVIEW, GOOD JOB MAN

  • Thx for this review I currently own a sansa e250 and I was just wondering, how do you know when the it's fully charged bc the animation just keeps going and Im concerned about overcharging it.

  • overcharging doenst do anything

  • it should stop charging after its fully charged thats what my sansa e260 does

  • now! that mp3 cool

  • Best review I've seen yet....but still missing the same thing every review is always missing....something that us podcast listeners like to know (or need to know in my case) what is it like to fast forward and rewind through 2 or 3 hours worth of audio? And does it offer bookmarking? I never hear anyone ever mention these two important issues.

  • This is the Rhapsody version, it's crap dont go with the R version.

  • it's the same just with a rhapsody feacher wich means if you have a subscription to rhapsody then when you hook it up to the computer then when you have rhapsody songs you have in more catagories

  • rhapsody sucks, doesnt it. I think so.... :)

  • yea! it does!

  • Very cool! I have been looking at this player for quite some time now. I thik this review just might help me buy this player! Thanks!

  • this is a nice review ) )

cooL man, but i have a question ?

  • Hey great video dude. Ima go out and buy me one also. ;D I just want to ask...Does this Sandisk work on Windows Media Player 11? Please reply. Thanks. 5/5

  • yes you can if you have windows media 10 and above . if you don't have it you can download it for free on the site.

  • does it support mp3 files

  • LMAO

  • Lmao indeed ZxEfR, but yes ducksofanahim it does support mp3 files lol

  • ya it does

  • did you have to convert it to a different format becase mine said acc format when i look at it on the program. but it saids mpg-4 format when i look at the propertise through my documens. wich one is it acc format or mpg-4????

  • i meen in itunes

  • can this work on Itunes??

  • ya i have the same player but i downloaded the sansa media thing to download the videos and pics but it says no player conected how do i get it to read and yes the players hooked up hurry and tell me plz id do anything

  • the player is excelent, does have 1 set back tho, the back of the player is covered with this paint stuff, so the back of my player is now faded a little where the hand actually makes contact with the player. but overall it totaly pwns the iPod nano, it even has subscribtion capabilities. so IMO the rating is a solid 9.0

  • nice player nice movie

  • Very nice player, i just love it. Definetly worth buying it.

  • how many Gigs was that?

  • What kind of video format does it support? Im pretty excited about that feature, I wanna watch family guy on the bus.
