What ! you live in magic warmville. here, tomatoes need to live inside still, the concept of outdoor tomatoes over your head is a mid to late summer pipe dream. congrats on the cloud nine land you till :D
I'm not so lucky, I'd put a little corn to fatten & soften meat lol. Deer come here but so far not too much damage. My worst pest are pocket gophers some call them moles, a misnomer. Meadow voles are also a nuicance & cost me 160 three year old Colorado Blue Spruce girdling them in winter.
2009 was a very strange year here in vermont. basically no summer. it was so cool temperaturewise that the crickets came a month and a half late. hardly turned on our air conditioners. and i also have had real problems with a groundhog. they're very clever devils. they'll find a way into the garden if there is one. i put in a hoophouse in my garden for next season. look forward to an extended season with that. cheers.
Things certainly do look better in your garden since it's warmed up a little there! Hopefully you'll wind up getting a few tomatoes. I never would have guessed it was a groundhog eating your stuff. I remember a vid or two back something was eating the tips of your beans so I guess that was it. My beans are getting nibbled on but I have lots of them so I barely notice. May good luck and good weather be with you the rest of the season!
it's way dry in nw wis, actually it's our 3rd year of dryness, nice garden you have. does anyone know what happened to pioneer living lady.[her channel?]
Holy crap that groundhog must be the size of a volkswagon from all that he's gobbled out of your garden! wow! But I guess you win some and you lose some when it comes to gardening. On a positive note, that is one impressive cabbage you showed. It's like a thanksgiving turkey. LOL
Hes gonna get it if I ever see him again!!! Yes ypu do take chances when you garden. The cabbage is the only thing in the garden doing really good. Except the ones the ground hog ate.
Dont feel bad my sunflowers never even bloomed...I did get some peas, beans, and my potatoes look o be growing well..Too much rain to start out..2 months of summer full of rain doesn't do a garden good..I live in central Maine where abouts do you live..
Beautiful garden, humongous cucumbers.

What a beautiful garden. Looks great, especially considering all the elements you're working against. That groundhog really got a feast!

Yummm groundhog. He would go well nothing other than oil, salt & pepper in a fry pan, well cripened.
