For those people who are complaining that it takes too long to scan MAC addresses, all you have to do is just click on the top on configure and double click your adapter device and then click under options at the bottom of the Configuration Dialog Start sniffer on set-up and don't use promiscuous mode. Then you just click apply and ok.

Alright I figured it out, just follow is directions make sure you dont have a firewall on and you should be set so the moment you press the poison button IP's should be coming instantly and after all the ips are in stop poisoning

Right-click the shortcut. In the pop-up menu click "Run as Administrator" that should do it.

It wont work with Cain to poison, but Athereros is really good with IVs, I would recommend that if you are trying to do what I think you are :) lol

then you are probably on a large network, first try getting the mac address of your target by typing on their comp in command prompt "ipconfig/all" that will get their mac.

to send packets i would recommend using commview. By poisoning an ip you are actually "stealing" the packets from the remote host on your network, but it has to be an Ethernet connection not wireless.

it's been 2 months since the post but i guess it can't hurt;

C&A is only for LANs. the best you're going to be able to manage is poisoning your office router (hope the network admin doesn't know or care much about security, the good ones can pick it up in a heartbeat) and collect usernames and passwords from coworkers on the network.

as for school... well, go to your library and see if they allow installations. if so, set up a keylogger to your ftp acount and have fun. :D myspace must die.
