  • The awkward moment when when internet are full of dumb people who need instruction to hard boil an egg.. The worse is i clicked into the video

  • 7 minutes slightly soft yolk? lol

  • Shouldn't you put it in ice water to stop the green sulpher crap from accumulating around the yolk?

  • what exactly is an egg-slicer?

  • @Peterowsky google, it's your friend.

  • @hereslookinaukid annoying idiots on youtube, are not.

  • ..uh..usually I'd just put an egg into water, leave it to boil on a stove until I see bubbles, turn off the stove, let it cool down at room temp and wala~ There's your hard boiled egg.

Never thought of rolling the egg to peel it easier.

  • Im never gona be the same wen i boil an egg, reminds me of American Psycho: Business Card Scene, never watched a business card the same

  • Oops, wrong video, i'm looking for how to tie a shoelaces...

  • Nonononoo you like your eggs raw eww. If you want it well cooked and perfect for mayonnaise it must boil for at least 9-10 minutes

  • the hell??:/ What's with all the unnecessary steps...?

  • What is this? Someone forgot to mention you need room temperature eggs (never plunge them into boiling water when they're cold or you'll have a mess of exploded egg) or to put the egg in the water before you boil so the egg will warm up with the water.

    good job.

  • @YouCountToo Yeah, and if you're using cold eggs, you have to reduce cooking time. We do about five or six minutes or else it's already overdone.

  • @YouCountToo

Since most of us take the egg out of the fridge before boiling it and really don't have the time to wait till it reaches room temperature, here's a tip: add a teaspoon of salt for every quart of water when you put your eggs in (obviously, when both water and eggs are still cold). Apparently a salty solution has greater heat capacity and heats up slower than unsalted water, thus giving more time for eggs to expand so they don't crack.

  • Hard boiled eggs? just cook them for an hour and a half XD

  • lady, this is soft boiled

  • Not seven minutes into boiling water, but ten...

    Learned ?

  • how are you and your eggs friends when you are always killing them

  • Ese huevo aun está crudo!!

  • i prefer the yolk nice and soft. no wonder i cant get it right. i've been cooking it in low fire for 15-20 mins. thanks! :-)

  • Eww that's not how a boiled egg is supposed to look

  • ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.. what a noob

  • last time i checked hard boiled eggs were hard all the way though

  • What if me and Mr. Egg got in an argument?

  • my old friend mr egg?? I dont think so

  • Everybody has their own way of cooking. Stop judging.

  • @timmyyong91 agree.

  • So you'll need a source-pin...

  • Then wat the hell is the slotted spoon for??!!

  • the yolk is not cooked

  • 7 minutes its for pastas fucktard

  • ewww that yolk looks disgusting, cook it longer, and theres a better way to do it, you boil the water without the egg, then when its boiling you add the egg and remove heat and cover the pan, leave it for like 20 minuteS? i forgot how long. and it should be perfect

  • errrr... I dont get it

  • It's supposed to be HARD BOILED eggs, not pumpkin pulp...

  • Back to the kitchen!!

  • please make a 10-30 minutes tutorial on how to fry an egg , or tell me where I can get a full manual to read? for fuck sake.

.. wtf did I forgot in this part of youtube

  • why am i here? lol

  • Untill today it was impossible for me to make an boiled egg due to its very much complicated process: water, eggs, boiled water, boiled eggs, heat and so much more things are involved. It was a mess for me everytime and my kitchen looked like a butchery. I lose three fingers because i thought i have to cut the egg first into equal sized peaces with a saw.

  • @hirnfaul xDDDDDDDDD lol

  • @hirnfaul LOOL XDDD

  • @hirnfaul Actually, hard-boiling eggs can be difficult depending on your pan, your stove, and if you are using electric or gas. You have to also experiment to find the level of done-ness that's just right for you.

Too many folks overcook them into green, sulfuric rubber balls.

  • I feel like boiling an egg. Just boil it, not even eating it. Boiling egg is quite easy. In fact, I would like to boil eggs for those who want to eat them. I'd just be the egg boiler~.

  • Wow its look delicious. Yummy..

  • 一

  • This is horrible. The right way:

    1) put eggs in a pot, cover the eggs just over the top with water

    2) turn your stove to high

    3) when bubbles just begin to form and eggs move around on their own a bit, turn off the heat

    4) cover and let sit for 17 minutes

    5) drain the warm water and cool down the eggs by running cold water over then, draining that water and running more cold water over them

    6) let the eggs sit for 15 minutes, then de-shell them.

    you're welcome

  • @zackboomer cover for 17 and let it sit for 15 just for those two steps you need 32 min so in total you need 40-50 min just to make boiled eggs? whats wrong with fill a pan , add eggs , boil and fkin eat

  • @nowayiwill ok buddy, cook your shitty eggs your shitty way and ill cook my amazing eggs my way.

  • @zackboomer I argree with you. This video is not workable, egg will burst when putting in cooking water...................

  • @zackboomer Wait, isn't that for soft boiled eggs? (Soft boiled for me are DISGUSTING.)

  • @ALXVid101 no i've done it this way hundreds of times

  • @zackboomer 17 FUCKING MINUTES?

  • @DN9DRFC ya, problem?

  • @zackboomer

This method is a waste of fucking time and should only be resorted to when boiling several dozen eggs for say, Easter. The rest of us who eat hard-boiled eggs on a near-daily basis flip you the bird and say ALL HAIL QUICK COOKING.

  • @limalicious I didn't say the method was quick, I'm saying it is right. Continue eating your inferior hard boiled eggs, I don't care.

  • @zackboomer

    Won't they be runny?

  • @zackboomer

By the time you replied I gave it a try. I have to say it's a really nice way to go about it. Good even texture, not overly dry as it happens when one overcooks them. Thank you for the tip.

I let them sit for 17 min., next time will make it shorter, I'd like them a tad softer than they came out

  • @parahumanoid glad it worked. I've done it like that ever since I found it out and I've never done it any other way.

  • I just crack my hardboiled eggs by squeezing the shell with my fist under the tap. Seems to work just fine.

  • Será q sou a unica Brasileira por aqui ?

  • @stellalumin Não.

  • I just made my eggs like this and they're ucking amazing.

They used to be all green with the texture of a piece of chalk.

I've been missing out all these years.

  • put it in for 6000 minutes...hard boiled

  • Le uova - Le uova - Le uova

  • OMG HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!?!!?!?!??!111

  • put the eggs in the cold water....bring to boil for 7 mins

  • Does she have a lisp?

  • @patilistan1 Yeth... yeth she doeth

  • so you'll nid a sawspin

  • this is not hard boiled... because the center is not done yet

  • MR EGG! my old friend! i havent seen you in foreverrrrrrr!

  • Well you should have said at least that you have you insert the egg into the water before boil it not many know that and then they wonder why its cracks for them o .o

  • Next: How to boil water.

  • After Watching This I Feel So Dumb!

  • Dam eggs always tryin to be my freinds -_-

  • 3 liters of drinking water, to boil an egg? that's just wrong and stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Btw it is to softy.....it SUCKS !!

  • I was taught, when the water starts to boil turn it off and let it sit for like 10 min. then crack the shell and let it sit in ice water until it's cool.

  • a lot better than chow

  • "This makes it really easy to peel." Utter shite! The video was sped up for a large amount of time!?...

  • @wylietwin

Actually, if you knock it around and then roll (I do it between my palms rather than on the table), it really does make it a bit quicker, but more importantly, less messy to peel. I comes off in one nice ribbon, thus it's less of a mess and a little quicker.

A point to note however. If your eggs are absolutely fresh (like less than two days old), the membrane doesn't separate too well. Rapid cooling in a volume of cold water is also a factor that makes it separate better.

  • Now I actually want a deviled egg... Darn...

  • The fact that there are tutorials on how to boil an egg, whitch is probably the most simple thing in the world, is just.....what's the word ?

    Sad.

  • @Shanox that's offensive for those who don't know how to make this stuff. Maybe nobody was taught when younger. Maybe people are just used to eating out and don't cook. I'm sorry, but that was a bit offensive.

  • @Shanox sorry, didn't mean to be offensive at all... i guess i'm just used to these kinds of things, so that it's sort of become a natural thing to me, hope this video was helpful for those who needed it then :)

  • or use hands

  • Spoon.. And my friend Mr.Egg.. I dont want to murder him or anything.

  • lol @ the egg discussion

  • you have an odd definition of hard boiled

  • my old freind mister egg i like to call him "mister egggy"

  • Who the heck hard-boild one egg at a time!?

  • GREAT INFORMATION.

NOW I CAN BOIL AN EGG

  • Balls or GTFO :)

  • now next thing to look up on youtube would be...how to make an ice cube using only water ;)

  • Real men eat their eggs as seen in ROCKY 1.

    Authentic US recipe.

  • healthy natural grown chickens make smaller eggs, that need only 3 minutes to boil.

    and:

you can't make an universal rule for boiling eggs, since water boils differently according to air pressure, water quality or the type of heat source.

  • @knifeplatypus oh dear you said 'eated' rather than 'ate' tut tut.

  • if the egg comes out hard boiled like chalk with a black rim on the side then that means its over cooked and loses all its flavor and nutrients

  • >Exactly 7 minutes

    >Eggs aren't all the same size

    >Learn to cook

  • @Georgeifyable this is not 4chan

  • @Georgeifyable >IMPLYING IMPLYING IMPLYING CK

  • that pic of the egg in the green stuff the eggs arent done right

  • eww

  • fuck hardboiled eggs.has to be slimey, germans eat they eggs slimey as fuck! YÜUÄAR!

  • you make it so mch more difficult then it has to be.

  • A saucepin?

  • Oh my God, so this is how you boil an egg. I have been doing wrong all my life. But thanks to YOUTUBE my life is much better now!!!!!!!!!

Can i please have my money now!!!

  • I've eaten thousands of eggs prepared hundreds of ways and im always fine if you're getting sick see a doctor mabye you're sick, allergic or it might be a problem with where they came from or what you ate with them (like 8 soft boiled eggs with 3 liters of cola is probably a bad choice) EGGS SHOULDN'T MAKE YOU SICK EVEN RAW!!

  • You forgot to add salt after you peel it

  • Everyone got their own way to do it.

  • I want to know what egg mayo is.......

  • now im in the mood for hard boiled eggs

  • Add the eggs in at the beginning. Prevents cracking.

  • Thanks. I was wondering why my shells kept sticking to the white part. Btw, do the English call egg salad "egg mayonnaise?"

  • how many of you hard boil an egg then mash it up, i like it cause you get a nice taste in every bite

  • How do I know when my water is boiling, my kettle switches off but my hob doesn't seem to know when to stop.

  • cheers for this vid . i'm pregnant with twins at the moment and was told i could't have soft runny eggs as it can be bad for the babies. typical me on hearing this instantly wanted a boiled egg on toast lol but was never sure how long to cook them for to be safe. gonna try this tomorrow lol.

  • mmmmmm i love it when the yolk is still a little runny. add a little bit of salt and cholula sauce mmmmm.

  • You start boiling the egg with cold water, and bring it to the boil. It takes more than a couple of minutes for the egg to cool down. Even putting the egg into iced water it takes at least 15 mins' to get the egg to be cold. Perhaps she likes her eggs warm.

  • can i have the video of how to make toast please?

  • i'm addicted to peeling hard boiled eggs >.> i just take off the whole shell in 1 swoop without even messing up the egg.

  • @Arkenarge Would Love to hear how you might do that?...Seriously. I love a good egg, but the shell is like bones in fish.....Can ruin a great thing....Any tips would be appreciated as I suck at peeling eggs.

  • @ratmq peel under running water is the best

  • @DCMKeelan Thanks!

  • I feel like boiling an egg... not even eating it... just boil it..... in fact, I'd like to boil eggs for people who want to eat them, I'd just be the egg boiler...

  • @T0rche i love people like you

  • @T0rche

Egg boiler... i like the sound of that

  • @T0rche I know! I love to biol eggs, mostly just to peel them but yeah Id help you with your egg-boiling job

  • @T0rche be my egg boiler! i'll pay u $0.50 for an egg

  • @T0rche you sound like the guy from Catcher in The Rye

  • Dozerjm is right. Those are wonderful SOFT boiled eggs. Only Americans like them hard boiled like chalk.

  • @devedsmith i like frying em on a pan or poaching them

  • @devedsmith

Given that America is currently having an issue with salmonella in their eggs, yes, we like to be able to safely consume our food instead of risking illness. And those 'chalk' boiled eggs are over boiled. A seven minute boil should produce a hard boiled egg, four minutes for the soft boiled egg in the video. Don't know how they got that wrong.

  • @devedsmith When you say americans, you really mean fat bastards

  • @ihatemuckdjs And when you say irish you mean alcoholics with bad teeth and no manners.

Every place has it's stereotypes, just some are more true then others. Pretty sure where you live it has it's share of fat lazy drunks.

  • @Meowpoof122 The drunks here are generally not fat, they are skinny drunks!

Thanks for the reply you silly cunt

  • @devedsmith 1. Is that negative how you say only americans? Frankly it tastes good and to me runny yolks are nasty. 2: Americans are the best

  • Comment removed

  • @devedsmith im an American and i love my eggs like this!!!

in fact, my WHOLE family does.

  • @devedsmith U EAT THAT SHIT RAW U GET SICK DUMBASSMTYPICALMBRITS

  • @dojOdRiFTeR

These stupid vids by idiots piss me off. Delete this stupid vid.

  • @dojOdRiFTeR No you don't ? My brother used to eat raw eggs without boiling them and he was fine.

  • @dojOdRiFTeR

actually, the chances of getting sick are slim. salmonella CAN be conveyed in an egg, but it is not common. i dont know the statistics but you are unlikely to get it from eating whole eggs at any stage of cooking. there is more risk in mixed egg products (like egg beaters or something like that) because in those cases 1 bad egg can contaminate the whole bunch.

  • @devedsmith Thats not true. I'm american & I don't like my boiled eggs to be hard like rocks or have them chalk-y ! so your WRONG

  • @devedsmith Did you know America is a country made-up of many types of peoples? I bet your an American.

  • @devedsmith De gustibus non es disputandum. Thanks for claiming america invented deviled eggs. "Only Americans..."

  • @mphst6 Wow, what's tour problem with Americans? I work at a hospital and I take care of people from all countries. I also send money to a child in Brazil every month even though money is short and I'm an American. Their is nothing shitty about me. You have Adam Lambert on your page........AMERICAN. I don't think I'm better than anyone in any country but obviously you do so who is the real jerk here?

I hope I'm just misunderstanding an argument your having with someone for hatred. Maybe I am.

  • @devedsmith Those are indeed soft, but not just americans like hardboiled eggs. I often hardboil eggs and slice them thinly, have em on bread with a bit of caviar for example. Works pretty well. I put eggs into the cauldron, fill up so the eggs are covered by cold water, then I put it on the boil and time ten minutes from when the water starts boiling (depending on how fast the water boils in your kettle of course, mine's fairly quick so I just put the eggs in cold water)

  • @devedsmith and my freak of a dad, who like it chalk like. we are from germany.

  • @devedsmith Well it all depends on what we are going to use our hard cooked eggs for....I mean you can't very well use a semi cooked yoke for deviled eggs, etc. These eggs on the video look great for over a salad or even for breakfast, but the different cooking levels are for use for different dishes. By the way, when we were in the UK, we had some super-well done eggs, served at a pub...they were pickled and delicious...just as I am sure these are.

  • @devedsmith "country: united states" ahemm?

  • @devedsmith What's wrong with hard boiled eggs? No one is hating on soft boiled eggs.

  • @devedsmith Ey! even Filipinos like hard boiled or not!

  • @devedsmith that's kind of insulting

  • @devedsmith Dude! I don't even like them like that! I go scrambled!

  • i am an egg addict.

  • thanks for the tip. Im registering. If i made 5/6 of these, how long could i store them in a fridge for before they go bad please?

  • Thank you for being so succinct!
