@Davisrullzs "Music" has math in it, so I'd say, yeah, there is bad music and good music. The only one sucking dick here is you for one of the many Eastern Euro porn companies in your shithole country,
Would someone please be kind enough to write back to me and let me know what move it was that made Gary think Deep Blue had cheated? I have the pgn file and I thought it was something about Deep Blue not taking a pawn sacrifice but I can't see it. Please let me know thank you in advanced.
@xLucidDre4mx I think, by doing f7-f6 he sacrified the b5 pawn, because white can exchange bishop then the left pawn (which it does) and then do Qb6 threatening bishop and pawn and eventually take the pawn, but the computer does the Be4 instead of Qb6.
No. Black (Kasparov) plays an in-between move (also known as a zwischenzug or intermezzo):
Deep Blue plays Qc6 threatening mate on e8...
but Kasparov plays Qb6+, checking the white king!
Thus, Deep Blue had to play Kf1 to avoid the check, and after that Kasparov plays Rb8.
If Deep Blue would've played Qe8+ after that, it would not be mate - Kasparov could just capture the Queen with his King because the Rook on a8 is blocked!
if you look at it the last move if kasparov trades queens who loses another bishop and white is in a very commanding position with his pawns. If he doesnt trade queens he still loses a bishop.
in this game it is proven by many grandmasters that it would be a draw....
...the correct move in the adjoured game is 1..Qe3 2Qxd6 Re8!!leading to a draw!..one possible variation is 3 Bf3 (if h4! h5! changes nothing) 3...Qc1+ 4.Kf2 Qd2+;5.Be2 Qf4+;6.Ke1 Qc1+;7.Bd1 Qxc3+!;8.Kf1 Qc1! and white's king cnt wriggle out of perpetual chech. thats all thank you...i got this from the book of GM Larry Evans..,,
The computer moves are just a response of the previous move, no imagination or strategie. Which is against the spirit of chess.
Anyway well played, perfect moves. I see Kasparov as machine mode playing as well, he knew he would eventually be beated but anyway he never tried any creative move.
Kasparov is the best, but the Deep Blue computer was far superior in terms of processing power and memory. It had over 700 000 professional matches in it's memory, all in complete detail, and a computing power of 200 million positions per second. No human brain can ever do that. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT DEEP BLUE WAS INTELLIGENT. It just means that it had superior memory and computing power, that is it!
i think the whole controversy over the match is based on that one move which seemed to be more of a human move than a computer move. intelligent as it is, a computer is still limited to short term results and it cant understand things like sacrafice now and win much later. its an interesting thing to think about. ps. what the hell msuic is this. grandmasters would decapitate themselves before playing chess with this music. lol.
From the video it is pretty clear that Deep Blue DID understand the idea of lose now, pay off later, there are a few times when it put one piece out in the open in hopes that Kasparov would take that one, but leave himself open later. Kasparov simply didn't fall for it.
Also, from the other vide "Deep Blue beat G. Kasparov in 1997" it says that Deep Blue was also programmed to recognize and utilize? patterns that chess Grandmasters would do. It also thinks 200 million moves per second :P
