I must say that I prefer "Totgeliebt" over "Love is dead". The German version has a deeper meaning than the English version.

What's really a bummer is that the English version is not a direct translation of the German one, if you know what I mean. I don't speak English that well, so I don't know how to explain it in a better way.

Anyhow, you get 5/5 for this video.

They probably altered the lyrics to fit the English translation. You can't exactly translate a song into another language, else it sounds awkward and it's impossible in some cases.

not the direct translation.

Geliebt does NOT mean "after love." Geliebt comes from "gelieben" which is the present perfect of the verb "lieben."

"Tot" does NOT mean "to die" the verb for "to die" is "sterben"

"tot" means "dead"

Together it does NOT mean "die after love" together it means "deadloved" German groups words together that translate different

You have to understand German grammar in order to get what I'm saying, which you obviously don't.

Um no? I speak German and grew up speaking it fluently to my mother. Ich kann nicht mehr means "I can no longer". How can Bill change German words and their meanings? Hes not the German language president or something and can suddenly say this means this and that means that.

The English versions are completely different.They change EVERYTHING. So if you want to original songs, listen to the German ones.
