  • BLAIR WITCH

  • I watched this as a child of 6 years old. I have asked people of my age if they remember it and they all said no. I was beginning to think I had imagined it!!

I always remember the pogles picking bilberries because I had no idea what bilberries were. Thanks for adding this it brings back great times.

  • I can taste honey just watching this.

  • I used to watch this, and read the Pipin comic with my mum, who has sadly, recently died. It brought back treaured memories of long lost times. Thank you for sharing it.

  • The genius of Oliver Postgate and Peter Firmin. Am i looking back through rosy specs? Probably, but I'm still right! Wonderful stuff, everything from Smallfilms was...

  • There was something magical about this, watching as a young child. The characters, the music, the wood. Loved it.

  • I am so happy! This was my favourite programme when I was little and haven't seen it since. Made my night. x

  • I'm 46 and this takes me right back to living at our first house (where we moved from when I was 4) and watching this with my mum and sometimes the little girl Anna who lived next next door.

Don't think anything takes me back to the time of my earliest memories as this.

  • i remember this when i was raped by my next door neighbour

  • When i tell my plants they're getting bilberry wine nobody seems to know what I'm on about. thank you You Tube. what an mind blowing nostalgia trip... and proof to all around me that I'm not losing my mind. and how sexist! so wonderfully un-pc....

  • Just watched the whole episode

Best thing I've seen for years

  • I'm nearly 46 and I used to dream about a little magic door in the tree

Is that in here or did I make it up

And wasn't Tog rather naughty I seem to recall

  • I'm 46, and used to have dreams about pippin and Tog, not really sure what I was dreaming, I googled their names and I'm extatic 'cos all my childhood memories come flooding back!!! I can't believe what a treasure trove of goodness the entertainment for kids used to be in U.K. loving this to pieces.

  • Hey woman! Where's my breakfast?! And I want a beer!!

  • I had a rabbit called Tog too :) and I remember Tales of the riverbank, ah nostalgia

  • not seen this in 40 years thanks for posting had a toy rabbit called TOG Lol

  • ive been told that i had been hallucinating for talking about the pogles so glad others remember it too

  • bread and butter and honey!

  • @tjsmiddx I remember it too....and trumpton..hatty town.etc... giving my age away now.

  • I seem to be one of the few people who recalls this programme. Everyone I mention it to doesnt remember it at all. I used to watch all the Watch with Mother programmes as a very young child with my nana.

  • @tjsmiddx I remember it - same thing though, no-one I mention it too remembers it either ;-( Do you remember Tales of the Riverbank?

  • @tjsmiddx

It's strange, whenever I mention the Pogles Wood to friends my age, nobody knows what I'm talking about either. They remember the Wooden Tops, Bill and Ben, Trumpton, The Herbs, etc ... But mention Pogle, Wife, Pippin and Tog ... they think I'm making it all up. How great to find proof at last ... lol

Wonderful memories and a real treat to watch again after all these years.

  • Oliver Postgate actually dispensed honey to German orphans after the war, he was a great humanist.
