  • YOU'RE A GOOD MAN PETE. THE WHOLE TEAM AT NOTTS UNI REALLY DESERVE SOME KINDA RECOGNITION / AWARD FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO PUBLIC AWARENESS & INTEREST IN SCIENCE (WITH PToV & 60SYMBOLS)

DR. POLIAKOFF & ALL THE FOLKS ARE VERY VERY LIKEABLE PEOPLE (UNLIKE ALMOST ALL TEACHERS I'VE EVER HAD) & ARE REALLY GREAT AS INFORMAL TEACHERS.

  • conductivity is productivity. The internet is a great equalizer.

  • What a humble guy! I like your work...

  • sounds as if he does a little bit of georaphy too, good man!

  • To be honest I've seen radios in many labs of different types in holland as well.

  • Wow, nice to see Dr. Chebude

  • Thank you for doing this.

  • nice work! well addis isnt well planned city from the beginning and effects of pollution from industries and automobiles get worse with much of city planning yet to b done. i hope u might go to other cities as well cos it is very likeable out of addis and u might find related areas of interest in the untrodden nature over there.

  • what said/did the women at about 6:50??^^

  • Thank you! i learned more on the country i had thought i had known--- this video proved me wrong! : ) well i was well aware of the polution, and in the mornings some house hold have a incence-like smoke in their homes its called bakk-houuur, It is very strong(the one used at my house hold) and quickly wipes out any fresh air in the room. i have a horrible memory, in which i had inhaled too much on an empty stomach at an young age in ethiopia... yes i vomited.... well thanks again , you did well

  • heh, my buddy works in a Lab (here in the US, in a Biotech company) and radios are allowed. I'm not sure being an academic setting and in a commercial place makes a difference. anyways, what a nice video. hope you had a great time as well.

  • Keep doing the good work.

  • Have you guys seen how polluted addis looks? That worries me really and I thank pete for what he is doing .. .coz i ain't no chemist .... and have no idea how to solve this problem may be by planting trees

  • What do you mean EVERY academic. These are just a couple of scientists who like to communicate science to the public. This is a very good way of communicating information, and they're very good at doing it.

  • You are right, of course. Apologies to all.

  • you just have no idea, do you?

  • Pete rocks!

  • I wish the best to the collaborative project. You'd been to Ethiopia. I'm so jealous. I'm definitely going there if I got the chance.

  • Yeah, eight minutes passed at a speed of two. You guys really know how to tell a story. Thanks!

  • Really good video. Thanks.

  • Nice one. Loved the video. Thank you for recording your trip to show us.

:-) I can't get over how much I love Chemistry. I feel raging I didn't go to any classes at High School. Although, something tells me they wouldn't have made it as interesting .

    Thanks again.

  • Wow, this was very interesting!

  • Thats Beautiful Pete ;¬) What is in the crucible?

  • Pete, what is the impact of meat on spaceship Earth?

    Tell us please.

  • Wonder what Pete does for fun there?

  • He learn about ethipian national park!

  • Pete rocks!

  • She's right.. everybody loves Petey.

  • This is great! Good job Pete :-)

  • Great work Pete. We need more scientists like you.
