@TheGreenPastures no justice done by the government, because at that time India ruled by British government. Later General dyer was relieved of his command in Britain and He was told later by the Commander-in-Chief in India.
@asi3d Udham Singh was an Indian independence activist, best known for assassinating Michael O'Dwyer in March 1940 in what has been described as an avenging of the Jallianwalla Bagh Massacre.Udham Singh changed his name to Ram Mohammad Singh Azad, symbolizing the unification of the three major religions of India: Hinduism, Islam and Sikhism. Singh is considered one of the best-known of the more heroic revolutionaries of the Indian freedom struggle;
@asi3d In 1940, almost 21 years after the Amritsar Massacre of 1919 in Punjab province of India, Singh shot the unsuspecting 75 years old Michael O'Dwyer while he was attending a lecture meet at Caxton Hall in London.1 April 1940, Udham Singh was formally charged with the murder of Michael O'Dwyer. While awaiting trial in Brixton Prison; Singh went on a 42 day hunger strike and had to be forcibly fed daily.
@princexxx28 On 4 June 1940, he was committed to trial, at the Central Criminal Court, Old Bailey, before Justice Atkinson. Singh was convicted, and Atkinson sentenced him to death. On 31 July 1940, Udham Singh was hanged at Pentonville Prison. As with other executed prisoners, he was buried later that afternoon within the prison grounds.
@princexxx28 In March 1940, Indian National Congress leader Jawahar Lal Nehru, condemned the action of Udham as senseless, but in 1962, Nehru did an about turn and applauded Singh with the following statement in the daily Partap: "I salute Shaheed-i-Azam Udham Singh with reverence who had kissed the noose so that we may be free.
@princexxx28 In July 1974, Udham Singh's remains were exhumed and repatriated to India at the request of S. Sadhu Singh Thind, an MLA from Sultanpur Lodhi at that time. He asked Indira Gandhi to request that the then-British Government hand over Udham Singh's remains to India. Sadhu Singh Thind himself went to England as a special envoy of the Indian Government and brought back the remains of the Shaheed.
@princexxx28 He was given a martyr's reception. Among those who received his casket at Delhi airport were Shankar Dayal Sharma, then president of the Congress Party, and Zail Singh, then chief minister of Punjab, both of whom later went on to become Presidents of India. Indira Gandhi, the prime minister, also laid a wreath. He was later cremated in his birthplace of Sunam in Punjab and his ashes were immersed in the Sutlej river.
@Mrpersia1 we are not , the man was a bastard of the first order not fit to wear the queens uniform , he burns in hell for what he did that i promise !
this video reminds me that situation which our forefathers suffered from cruel act by Ganaral Daire. After seeing this video I know that what our forefathers have done for our freedom. now I promise that I will do whatever I can do for betterment for our country.
Of the 379 deaths in the garden most were in fact inflicted by Indians on other indians who literally trod their vulnerable women and children into the ground. Indeed 120 of them were so stupid they jumped into the well and were drowned.
@johnsammyanfal the Jallianwala Bagh (Garden) had only one exit on that time and the british soldiers were there. they started firing continuously from that side. No one had chance to exit.
if you were there what would you do-- stand constant there or run away??
The Jallianwala Bagh Massacre will remind us of not giving our country or ourselves to others...... otherwise theJallianwala Bagh Massacre will happen again and again.........

The sad thing is that both Indians and Pakistanis hate each other and both the countries see the inhuman British as their allies! What a shame.
