The idea of closing Willard pool is appalling. As a Berkeley homeowner in the adjacent LeConte neighborhood, I know that the nearby pool improves our family's existence as well as the value of my property. The same goes for access to our city's other pools at King and West Campus. While I'm not a user of the warm pool, and don't agree with the resentment aimed by advocates at School District administrators, I'm persuaded that this resource is critical for many in our community.
