  • Apparently they did this in concorde too

  • What a crazy guy!! But as he said, he was flying...! :O

  • And his nameis Tex Johnson. Thats awesome!!!

  • do a barrel roll

  • they always do something insane at seafair

  • i did it with a B-747-400 in FlightSimX... no overstress msgs and the plane answered well... but i don't think so in real life ...

  • In the 80´s, a brazilian pilot named Carlos Casarin, did it flying a 727 cargo Transbrasil, during a flyght from Manaus to Rio.

  • guys' like that are what inspire me,,,what an incredible pilot,,,wish there were more around,

  • wow....it s quite unbelievable!! the pilot it s very competent..

  • well in flight sim 2004 if u do that the plane will Crash with the overstress message

  • Were you using the Captain Sim 707?

  • you need to use all inputs like a rudder, aileron and elevator to execute this co-ordinated so that it the aircraft remains at 1G. Flight Sim is not accurate.

  • @TwoBitBob If he kept it at 1G, then it was a barrel roll. Not an aileron roll.

  • im surprised that 707 didnt get over stressed

  • By a barrel roll? It's able to fly through a thunderstorm, how could a simple roll hurt it?

  • Don't... ...even... ...say it...

  • This is a 1G manoeuvre, so the wings were not stressed at all.

  • OMFG I remember that stunt being talked about when I was growing up in seattle.

  • wow that guy has balls

  • yeah... this is a pretty legendary stunt...
