Am i right that the "dead" force is smaller in g25 that dfp? I mean that force when you have forcefeedback tuned off and you just try to turn it. I mean that resistance of turning. It realy important for me because i'm going to change my dfp to g25 :)

In most games it works quite well. Sometimes games recognise like 2 buttons like the same (like square with right paddle) but it happens rarely.

the mmo is trash. that thing broke on me the 2nd day i got it. its a piece of junk i would get the g25.

Logitech G27 is the best out now then logitech G25, then Driving Force GT step above DFP then MOMO. I have Driving Force GT and it is a great wheel perhaps better than G25 however main difference is the pedals and the shifter.

HELP!

I have a problem with my good old DFP. Recently, I've run into troubles with the centering. If I turn the wheel really hard - like you need to do when turning the car round, or drifting - the tracking goes off. Like, the wheel isn't angled with the wheels. An equal turn to the other direction solves it, but when GT5 comes out and I'm racing online I can't be pulling over during races. Yes, I'm planning in keeping my DFP for GT5. I love it too much :)

the logitech software lets you select any degree of rotation you want on a slider, it seizes up when it rotates that far, like i would do 499* for rally and 710* for Ovals or whatever you want

You need to do quick something 600-720 degrees when you drift, but 900 is too much :D

you need 900 degrees for drifting or else your a noob, it makes your steering correction look 10 times smoother, have you ever watched real drifting? they are always spinning the wheel like crazy, thats how you should be drifting not like a grandmother

the g25 is the better of the two. althoughmega-expensive compared with the DFP ( i found one on ebay for £50)and the only real difference is the H shifter and clutch pedal.

no the real difference is the faster centering springs the dual force feedback motors in the g25 instead of 1 in dfp and also the wheel is bigger, it helps, and its lighter, and makes way less noise and is way smoother overall, it really is 3 times better then the dfp, and cost 3 times as much also lol

to b honest, for $300 for a driving wheel seems to much. i would prefer th G25 but i still think its too pricey i would only recommend it for ppl who play driving games like 24/7 im just hoping the fat man brings me the driving force pro for christmas

yes, but you only get 200* of turn, not the full 900*. its still very good though.

what are you talking about the g25 is 900* i own it 2.5 turns from lock to lock

yeah, the same as the driving force pro. but in games like GT3, where the 900* mode isnt supported, you only get 200*, before it automatically locks. the DFP owns on GT4 though, cos GT4 does support 900*.

ya i forgot about the gt3 thing but i say the G25 owns GT4 cause personally i think the g25 has a more tighter feel and more fluent for me cause i come from kart racing and i find its closer to that and other vehicles I've driven then the DFP

in control panel --> gaming devices --> logitech G25, you can turn on and adjust the level of spring force.

You can also do it from "logitech gaming software" just search for it.

i have no clue but i think its impossible. coz tuning the wheel is smthng with software not firmware. so i think you have to tune it on ps3 too

wow, huge difference in spring return. Im lookin to buy the g25 after loving my current DFP. Hows the gear lever holding up?

Gear lever is a little short and very soft. It doesnt turn back to neutral with a strong feeling but you become used to it. It is very enjoyable to drive in Live for speed with manual gear and a clutch. motor break etc.. everything feels very realistic with G25 highly recommended for car simulation geeks
