  • This scene is Wet Hot American Summer in a nutshell. From cliche to hilarious insanity in 60 seconds

  • That all took place in a 1 hour time frame??

  • I love this movie :D

  • Hey guys wait up! lmfao!

  • i need some lube...(for my pussy)

  • The is probably the only Waterville joke ever to hit the silver screen, but that's OK, because it's a fantastic joke!

  • I need lube..... for my pussy.

  • This gal in the end itching while the song goes "it's gonna be alright" made me lol

  • I worked at a camp. This is 100% representative of what happens

  • Geez, why can't I laugh at this? It should be my thing but it ain't happening. :(

  • I just thought that that was how dudes took leaks outdoors in the early 80s.

  • Just saw the trailer for a retarded looking camp comedy called SCOUTS HONOR coming out Jan. 2011. Its got Chris Kattan screaming his head off like he's mental and Fred Willard is in too. Looks pretty stupid, but kinda funny too.

  • Hey guys wait up (stands up against a wall) lol

  • always fun to get away from camp, even for an hour!

  • hahaha Michael Ian Black screaming "woo!" all the way into town

  • I react the same way when i get a six pack of carling Black Label

  • wait so i dont get why they all go stand against the shed at the end

  • @ktekmoney just because it's absurd and unexpected. there are a lot of random little one-off sight gags in this movie. they had a lot of creative people working on it and they packed it about as full of jokes as humanly possible. maybe not to the level of the airplane movies, but pretty close.

  • @ktekmoney its called being fucked UP SON!

  • @ktekmoney my interpretation was that was how they blocked that scene out like...as actors were like when you go off camera just go to that wall and stand there, but it was also meant to be seen as it's super ridiculous...maybe i'm wrong but i think it's hilarious...i love this movie it's extremely clever.

  • @mess40 thats how you kill a hangover with your friends at camp while looking awake and active:D

  • I love how funny and how absurd the plot to the movie is.

  • THE BEST scene!

  • what's the song playing?

  • Love is Alright Tonight - Rick Springfield.

  • oooooooooh, the first time I saw this movie...I was like WHAT?!?! then this scene just took me over the top like..uuuuuuh wow!

  • Best scene of the movie!!! Rocking out to some Rick Springfield while scoring blow and jumping old ladies for their purse...it takes me back!

  • This whole movie is hilarious, but this is one of the best scenes. What an hour.

  • Observe and Report had the best homage to this scene. When Ronnie and Dennis start doing coke, then smoke weed and drink, then shoot heroin, then beat up kids, then at the end Ronnie says This morning I was so pissed. Basically saying that all happened in 1 day. Fucking hilarious.

  • it actually all happens in an hour. "it's always fun to get away from camp, even for an hour." the time frame definitely makes this scene way more ridiculous. agreed

  • they shouldve done the easter egg of stella in the background

  • Just saw this flick last night... so many funny scenes!

  • one of the best scene from the whole movie! also the music is great =D

  • i woud love to spend 1 hour like that every day :)

  • My fav scene from the movie!

  • i love how they all run and stand facing that building haha....

  • Wet Hot American Summer -- great movie.

  • That's Waterville, Maine for you! haha Waterville is about 15 minutes down the road.

I've loved this movie for like 6 years now. David Wain and company RULE!

  • hahaha! dont know whats funnier, the clip or comments about it.

  • This Movie was filmed in and around Honesdale, Pa in the summer of 2001...

  • LOL, I love how all of this takes place in an hour.

  • Note:

    1) MCDONALDS DIDN'T HAVE SUPER-SIZE FRIES IN 1981!!!

    2) Crack didn't come about until 1986. At least that's what it looks like she's smoking in the drughouse. Maybe it's Meth.

  • you forgot that astrophysics is NOWHERE near camp direction in the Dewey Decimal System.

  • I do believe that's the joke. XD

  • who cares. this is pretty much one of the funniest fucking movies ever

  • And im sure u cant do all that in an hour, anything else to contribute?

A douchebag is a hygenic product, i take that as a compliment THANK YOU

  • Hey!!! you got that quote from mission hill!!!

  • Wow you really care that much

  • One of the best movies ever lol.

  • haha they were gone for an hour! hilarious!!

  • LOL i love how the drug use starts innocent and get progressively more hard core!

  • If you could post the motorcycle chase scene that would be awesome.

  • Man do Wain and Show ever know how to make awesome montages! This and "the new way" are two of my favourite montages EVER!

  • even for an hour hahahahaha

  • It is really exciting to know that other people do the exact same things I do on my 15 minute breaks from work!

  • best comment ever.

  • What song/band is playing during this scene?

  • I know this is really late, but it's "Love Is Alright Tonite' by Rick Springfield

  • greatest montage in movie history? I think so.

  • Most awesome scene from the movie, for sure! In second place is the scene where Neil is on the motorcycle chasing victor, pure 80's style and too funny!

  • "I was Born To Run!!"

  • i love that but nothing beats Gene and the new way

  • smoking ciggs - snorting coke in the alley - shooting heroin in an abandoned house

    OMG funniest shit

  • I love the drug arch from cigarettes to heroin. When my friends and I first watched this we like "WTF? This is crazy!"

  • i can't believe how many uptight bastards there are here upset about this scene....its funny as hell...and if you can't lighten up a little, well...thats just kind of sad. This movie is pure brilliance start to finish....

    relax

  • Take a big guess.....

  • That's the point of absurd comedy. First, you see the kids smokin' weed, so you think to yourself "Okay, that's pretty normal." but then they exagerate it and show them doin' the hard stuff, and then they return to camp looking as if nothing happened, claiming that they did all this stuff within an hour... That's what makes this funny :)

  • your a homo

  • Truly the best scene in the movie. The people I know who didn't like this movie all admit that they laughed at this part.

  • Okay. . .can someone PLEASE explain to me the very last part of this video??? I love this movie and this is just one of those mysteries no one has been able to enlighten me on. WHY do the guys line up with their noses to the wall at the very end? Is this like a boner joke or something?

  • Those guys are peeing on the wall at the end.

  • Thank you.

  • no they aren't, this movie is full of random shit... this is just one more random thing

they're hands are by their sides and they're directly on the wall... i don't think they're peeing

  • no there peeing

  • They are not taking a leak.

The guys are stoned. Think about it...

  • the last two seconds is the best.

  • "its always fun to get away from camp, even for an hour!"

    haha

  • Heroin overdoses are funny. Coma-inducing drug trips are funny. Snorting cocaine and robbing old ladies is funny. Especially while Rik Derringer-esque music plays.

  • This movie made me laugh my ass of the whole time this scene is One of my favorites thanks for posting

  • My friend introduced me to this movie. I never laughed so much at a movie in my life! This is by far my favorite scene. Brilliant!

  • Thanks for posting this!! This is my absolute favorite scene! I LOVE this movie!!!!

  • Ah yes...This movie is indeed one that splits people into two groups. Those who enjoy it(Truely rockin folk of course). And those who do not get it(The kind of person that lists crap like "White Chicks" or whatever it was called as high comedy)

  • for those of you who aren't getting the humor, a vast majority of us find it hilarious how such an innocent wholesome little trip into town can get so progressively worse while the cheesy music never dies down. This is quite possibly the funniest scene in the movie.

  • and how everything took place over the course of an hour

  • wet hot american summer is great if you 'get it'.

  • They show a girl smoking crack.

There NEEDS (not have to, NEEDS) to be mor movies like this one.

  • They always cut this part out on Comedy Central.

  • this is one of my favorite montages of all time

  • right on. throw wet hot american summer in there and youre alright!

  • I agree with the throw Wet Hot. When you watch it with Duck Soup, Dr. Strangelove, and The Blues Brothers you really realise how brilliant the first 3 are, and how lame Wet Hot really is. Hehehe...

  • You don't realize why this is funny. I doubt you ever will.

  • You don't realise why this isn't funny...

  • That's because it is funny. It isn't a big hit like all the other movies you've named, because not as many people get it. There's a lot of stuff in those movies that's funny to me, but they also throw in some mainstream humor. Wet Hot American Summer doesn't have much traditional comedy. That's why it has a cult following and the movies you named are more popular.

  • I don't like movies if they're hits. Take a look at my favorites and you'll see what I mean. I mostly love British comedy (except for Benny Hill, who I find too slapstickish). I honestly don't think this film is very funny. At least you didn't call me a bitch, cunt, or whore, like some others have done on youtube, so thanks for that.

  • I didn't say you like movies just because they're hits. You're welcome.

  • You don't like movies if they're hits? That's a little...narrow-minded isn't it. Just because it is a hit doesn't mean its bad. Sorry, but that just sounds like one of those statements people make when they want to sound "high-brow", like their tastes are so refined.

  • No, it wasn't that. My statement "I don't like movies if they're hits" was misleading on my part, and I should have watched what I was typing. I was replying to the comment that inferred I didn't like WHAS because it wasn't a big hit. I didn't like it because it was awful in my opinion. Just because a film/TV show/album is popular doesn't mean it's automatically bad. Some of my favorite comedies were huge hits (Blues Brothers for example). Sorry about my sloppy phrasing...

  • jeez youre such a no fun havin goblin.

  • Nah, I just hate crap, that's all.

  • well then stop being a crumudgeon and watch what you like then

  • Duck Soup, Dr. Strangelove, The Blues Brothers, now those are comedies!

  • lol you are pretentious and corny

  • No, I just like great comedies, that's all, and Wet Hot ain't it....

  • hahahhahahaha crumudgeon

  • you suck

  • I stand by my statement of displeasure on this "cinematic" atrocity.

  • Whoa- they are the most believable thirty year olds to ever look like teenagers!

  • you know, there's a talking can of corn in the movie.

  • i lol'd at this comment
