I had the opportunity to meet him back when I was 13 yrs. old and I took a class with him in San Antonia at a dance convention!!! I loved his style of dance and I loved his personality he was a great person and made the class fun!! A few months later, I went to a dance competition and he was there too! After the competition he approached me and gave me his card and offered me a chance to take dance classes with him because he enjoyed my style! He was a wonderful person!! RIP Steven :(

What a beautiful video...I met him more than 25 years ago at a convention in New York City--Dance Olympus- when he was beginning his teaching career. I just bought a video with 6 routines on it at a convention. I love his deep roots in classic jazz; something you just don't see on the convention circuit as much anymore!

I took Steven's class for 4 years and was in Steven Boyd Ensemble for 2 years. He was an amazing dancer and teacher. Not only did he teach dance, he taught about life. For example his sayings, "If it don't hurt, it don't work. When it starts the hurtin', it starts the workin'." and "Sometimes we look, but we don't see. Sometimes we hear, but we don't listen." Everyone he met loved him. He is greatly missed. I love you Mr Steven!!! :)

Mr.Steven has touched so many lifes espically mine! I truely dont think I would be the dancer I am today with out you. You are a phenomenal person in every aspect, and I know you are greatly missed by so many people. I promise i will always remember you for ever mr.steven, but i know you are watching from a better place(proably still bandin on that cow bell). i danced at becky's and competed for 7 years
the summer i quit was the same summer he died
i never thought that i would never see him again.
