Republicans love to let people smear them and then join forces with the same folks to go smear others. Huckabee just let Stephen Moore from United For Growth on his show tonight, with Joe the Plumber, to mislead people about Obama's tax plan. It's kind of similar to McCain using the same robocall group that smeared him in 2000 to smear Obama. By the way, Joe the Plumber made 40,000 dollars last year. He's going to have his taxes cut under Obama, but they didn't mention that on the show.
CFG was paid $550,000 by Mitt Supporters to distort and smear his record. This video has been clipped to distort what Huckabee said and it is disgraceful that organizations are allowed to do this type of thing for money. Just another part of Washington that needs to be stoipped by Governor Huckabee.
Fred just proved his Presidential qualities in the last debate! He's intelligent, humorous, serious, determined, articulate, sincere and far more Conservative (qualified) than the others. He totally kicked Huckabooty!
The extent of Huckabee's foreign policy experience is breakfast at an International House of Pancakes....
They completely took this out of context. You don't know WHAT he was talking about. He was NOT listing all the taxes he's going to raise, he was naming different options. This is probably for when the Arkansaw people VOTED to have their taxes raised because they wanted to repair their roads.
He wants a 23% tax on consumption. What Americans don't realize is most of us are in the 10-15% bracket. Add 23% on everything you consume then add up state and local taxes. 30-40% tax. Nice...People are ignorant sheep. Big taxes with no social benefit. SHEEP!!!!!!!!!!
It's a 23% INCLUSIVE TAX, that means it is 23% when backed out of the final price! Example, $100 item, plus Hucks tax of $30 = $130.00, $30.00 divided by $130.00 = 23%, IT IS REALLY A 30% TAX! This just shows how slick he thinks he is!
Prices would drop because the "hidden tax" you pay on everything will be gone. The hidden tax is the tax on corporations and everything else on the entire line of production.
Detailed analysis by economists show that EVERY income bracket is better off after only a few years.
All this Gomer Pyle moron did was raise taxes and pardon rapists, how in the world did he even get here, he has NO BUSINESS running for President, at least not as a Republican! Go be Hillarys VP Hike Taxabee!
I love taxes, I'm fine with allowing the government to spend my whole paycheck on illegal wars, if they want to kill innocent women and children with my hard earned money I totally support that too. Again the government can just own me and take me to the cleaners I am fine with that. baaaaaah baaaaaah
huckabee is a bill clinton style tax and spend democrat who uses religion. he also looks like
GOMER PYLE. he is a liar and he has a real sadistic streak. for a Christian he is not real humble the way he flaunts is and a Christian who supports war. I THOUGHT JESUS WAS A MAN OF PEACE.
The Huckster is "compassionate conservatism" squared. He thinks that an ever-expanding and more intrusive socialist state and illegal immigration are Christian. If you like George W, then you will luuuuv Huckabee go to taxhikemike . org
"In a hundred and sixty years in Arkansas , we'd never really had a broad-based, wide-spread tax cut. I was able to sign the first ever. The economic policies that we did in my state, cutting taxes, streamlining government, resulted in the largest number of job creations. I cut taxes over 90 times. Balanced the budget every year I was governor. Left a surplus of nearly a billion dollars, and did it in the face of an overwhelmingly Democratic legislature. That's a pretty good record." - Huckabee
Oh, good. So he's not just a fiscal liberal, he's also blatantly dishonest. A true Christian, this man.
From CFG:
These "94 tax cuts" include such minor tweaks as exempting residential lawn care from the sales tax, reducing taxes on bets made at Southland Greyhound Park, and exempting Arkansas Symphony Orchestra purchases from the sales tax.
if you believe what the club for greed is paid to say, you would make a great liberal. do you want to buy some ocean-front property from me in nevada?
Believe what they are paid to say??? Uh, I just heard with my own ears what Da Huckster says! And he is a TAX AND SPEND LIBERAL! I could care less what some club says, I've heard from Hike Taxabee HIMSELF!
did you hear what he said b4 and after this selective clip? huck want to eliminate all income tax, all payroll tax, all investment and savings tax, all capital gains tax. dont be a stooge.

more liars from romney the liar. satan is the father of all lies. and these are his children. a bunch of whitey-white, richey-rich childre, aka the club for greed, greed as in love of money, which IS the root of ALL evil. I rebuke you and your lies in the name of Jesus Christ.
If you like your income stolen from you by Mike Huckabee, congratulations! Hand over your income now and with a smile. However, many of us won't stand for having our money stolen from us by "Mr. Compassionate" Mike Huckabee.
FeebulMinded -- You are right. Huckabee is their dream opponent.
ONLY Ron Paul has the broad support necessary to win a general election.
If the GOP does not nominate Ron Paul, they will get a Democrat in the Oval Office. Period. Nobody wants another four years of Bush and that's what all of the other GOP nominees are offering.
This organization is well funded by Mitt Romney among others. I expected them to attack Huckabee before now. They misrepresent the truth JUST LIKE MITT!
monkeyshines4T -- The truth is that Mike Huckabee has been investigated for ethics violations many times, including an ongoing investigation. He destroyed evidence. He made Judicial Watch's list of the top ten most corrupt politicians. (So did Rudy Giuliani.) He is a tax and spend, big government, liberal. Bush x 2.
I am surprised that Club for Growth doesn't feel the need to be honest in their presentations. They demonstrate just how badly we need people of high moral standards in the public arena. They need to be more like Mike!
Whatever....All those quotes were taken out of context...Income taxes were the same in Arkansas when Huckabee took office and when he left office. He also turned a a $200 million deficit into a $850 million surplus!!!!
Don't worry Mike, we see right through the dirty games these people are playing. Mike Huckabee for President - the only candidate with great character, great virtue and integrity! Go Mike Huckabee!

Huckabee's a nice guy, but the U.S. needs someone who can run the country with the fiscal responsibility of a business. I'd rather have Mitt Romney as the president (even if he isn't an evangelic Christian)--lower taxes, tough on crime and no scandals.
Mike Huckabee recently said he could support any of the Republican Presidential contenders (including Rudy Giuliani), except Ron Paul. That means, Mike Huckabee would rather support a pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, pro-gun control liberal such as Giuliani than support the pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, pro-Second Amendment candidacy of Ron Paul. Why is that?
What do we expect for a politician? That's the one thing Ron Paul is not! That's why he is magnetizing the true remnant to his cause. It's beautiful - We could actually heal this nation if we can just WAKE UP more of the sheeple. A universal paradigm shift is taking place. Ron Paul 2008 for Peace, Liberty & Prosperity!
that is pretty obvious, because RP wants to pull troops from all over the world. This would be a very stupid move and would set us up for more 9/11's. Wake up people! Have you studied Islam? This isn't about leaving them alone and they will go away, don't be so naive.
The Club for Growth are some of the smartest people in politics. Those who wish to take shots at the CFG because they "represent the rich" need to ask themselves, "who creates jobs?" I don't recall ever get a job from a poor man. Huckabee's crazy tax schemes would ensure that we are all equally poor, making liberals and RINOs very happy I'm sure.
Ron Paul will get rid of the income tax and replace it with nothing. He can do this by getting rid of ridiculous government spending. Ron Paul Revolution!
Huckabee is a descent guy who is willing to work with other people to find pragmatic solutions. The fiscal problems of Arkansas are not the same as that of the nation. Huckabee has made is conservative principles clear. Conservative "purity" means nothing if you can't work with those on all sides of the aisle. Huckabee has a proven record here as a pragmatic problem solver. Go Huckabee and ignore the "Cult for Greed".
I just don't trust this guy. I've read too many things about him usurping money and abusing authority that confirm my suspicions. My experience has been those who proclaim their faith the loudest have the most to hide.
What this illustrates is that when faced with the question of reducing spending or raising taxes to balance a budget, that Huckabee will turn to raising taxes and not tackle wasteful or unconstitutional spending. I'll look for a candidate that supports a return to Constitutional government and cutting spending.
check out his site and click on the truth squad. The makers of this negative ad lose if the fair tax is implemented. What would they have to do if their is no IRS?

Imagine that. The Club for GREED protecting Wall Street at the expense of Main Street.
How about they put this speech in context: A Governor attempting to reason with legislators in order to get the state out of financial disarray. State governments don't have the luxury to run a deficit and they also don't have much room to slash since most of the budgets to things like education and Medicaid.
Huckabee: the sanctimony of Carter, the moral ambiguity of Bill Clinton, the lust for power of Hillary Clinton, and the fiscal irresponsibility of Bush all in one!
If you listen to Huck's voice, you can tell that he is trying to reason with the Dems otherwise the state will go into financial disaray due to federal court order. CLUB FOR GREED
This guy wanted to put everyone who had aids in groups and separate them from society in 1992. He also wanted to cut funding to understand aids in 1994. WTF!!!!!
Mike Huckabee once advocated isolating AIDS patients from the general public, opposed increased federal funding in the search for a cure and said homosexuality could ''pose a dangerous public health risk.''
I'm not so sure its so fair. The question really is why do we need all these taxes? Do you believe the Government has absolute right to tax your body through labor?
the constitution mandates that all taxes levied by government shall be of a voluntary nature. the 16th amend. is(income tax) is therefore illegal and should be repealed. revenue is needed to accomplish "legitmate" rolls of gov. the fairtax is the most widely researched reform bill that was created by worlds leading economists
I have studied the Constitution pretty well, but I don't recall there being voluntary taxes, unless you mean excise/import/export taxes. My question is then, if the Income tax is illegal why should we replace it? Why do we need the tax on labor to begin with? Also, what exactly is the fairtax?
the club for growth will edit video to make anyone look bad if they are paid enough. they are "dishonesty for hire", "mercenaries of the media". they know their characterizations are not true, but it makes them rich. the C.F.G. would sell national secrets to anyone with millions of dollars.
Club For Growth is not some n00b PAC. They are a very well respected PAC that fights to keep taxes low. Everyone knows who they are and knows that they do not simply make stuff up or misconstrue stuff for their own agenda. If they are worried about someone raising taxes, anyone who cares about paying higher taxes should be worried too.
sounds like someone is on the payroll. "Everyone knows who they are and knows that they do not simply make stuff up" what a joke! most ppl dont know that the CFG gets millions to attack candidates that arent part of the establishment. huckabee wants to eliminate the IRS. these ppl dont even know who huck is; they cant understand whats happening from their ivory tower.
Yes... Paul's supporter indeed do him a major disservice... plastering thier 4 letter word laced endorsements all over the Internet... Paul has a lot of great supporters... but we only seem to hear from the vocal ones and they are whacked... reduced to giving thumbs down reviews to other peoples' comments. That won't get your guy elected will it?
I don't know about the thumbs up or down, but I am interested, as a Paul supporter, what we can do to help you better understand his positions and perhaps support him at some point? Yes I agree that cursing out each other won't do anyone service, but don't let a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch. We love everyone and welcome them onboard.
In Arkansas, people really support Governor Huckabee because he was a great governor who was very good for the people. A few days ago, Rasmussen polled Arkansas specifically. In a head-to-head, Huckabee wins big over Hillary, but she beats all other GOP candidates. ARKANSAS HAS SPOKEN! Club For Greed has lied!
The budget had been cut 11% and the supreme court had ordered massive school funding. The government was going to shut down within days. The short-term solution was some kind of a tax package. After 2 years, Governor Huckabee won repeal of many of the taxes. Overall, he cut taxes 94 times. At the end of his 10.5 years, the tax burden had increased only slightly but roads and schools had improved dramatically. Club For Greed has a hidden agenda and vendetta. Don't believe their deceit.
Great spot... and it actually leaves out another very important strike against the Huckster... not only was he raising all these taxes... he was also increased spending... more than three times the rate of inflation... sounds like Tax & Spend to me!
That rape story is appallling. I mean, I knew the Huckster was a liar just by the way he talks (Oh yea, and seeing old video of him praising increases in taxes, etc.), but this is HORRIBLE! He releases this scumbag who any law abiding citizen would have happily shot, and he rapes and kills again! And, after the victims told him he would!
This story is truly sad...and should do Huckabee in for good!
I'm not sure that is where the evidence goes. I can tell you one thing, I believe in fairness, and if anyone of my friends of family did something wrong I would be the first to tell them. I do not subscribe to the notion of just defending people for political reasons. If a story tomorrow came out about Ron paul like that I would not defend him.
Why is Paul a kook? I mean, its okay to have an opinion, but it should be based on something substantive, not just to be mean spirited. I thank you for your openness to communicate on these issues. On the contrary I knew nothing about Paul a month ago, but with some research I have found him sane, rational, logical and completely honesty and consistent.
I follow him and I have met others that follow him too, but I am not sure what you mean by "fringe groups." I don't consider myself a fringe person. If you could elaborate a bit it would be really helpful so I can understand where you are coming from and where your anger lies. Thanks
No I am just concerned the way you are. I just don't know if staying over there will improve our relationship with these fanatics, or how we would continue to pay for this without increasing income taxes? You can't go over the limit on your credit card and think there are no consequences. Do you think our relationship would improve with them if they were here occupying us?
I am not sure that is the proper question at this point. First i think we need to understand why they are "bullies." Now if you think they are just running around attacking people for no reason then they are just bullies, but so far the evidence does not support that. They hate American involvement with Israel, with their oil, with their internal affairs, and most, the hate our military intervention over there. From that point of view, they may just be fighting back.
I know there are some very irrational people over there, but I am not convinced that they would have an axe to grind with us if it wasn't for the fact that we are interfering with their internal affairs, going after their oil, supporting Israel, and again, commit our military to covert operations and bombings. If none of the foregoing has any relevance, why didn't they attack us let's say 50-150 years ago? We were a lot freer back then and the Quoran was still in full effect.
100 yrs ago they lacked the ability to attack the US. we were, however, not high on their list of priorities because the muslim world was not adopting american culture and modeling the "new muslim society" after us. most of the terrorist come from modern islamic countries expiriencing cultural rev. The mullahs preach that the "great satan" must be exterminated in order to keep their society pure.
western culture is transforming most muslim countries dramatically. they are eating up ganster rap and girls in bikinis. this is like the end of the world to the wahabist and proof that we are wicked and deserving of death according to the quoran. they dont hate our freedom; but rather our establishment of freedom in their lands(which includes freedom to choose western lifestyle.)
And you think that was the reason for 9/11? And if so, how do you account for other reports like the 9/11 Commission that it was for reasons that I have set forth?
dont put all of your faith in gov. commisions to find the best explanations for events. im sure 9/11 comm. has some good insight, but it is far from the complete story.look at where the terrorists came from. egypt, suadi arabia, jordan, yemen. all modernising and westernising countries.all cultures clash when they mix. add to it the tyrranical and violent nature of islam and its thats where we are.
I appreciate your vigorous beliefs and I am sure you will vote for whomever you think is best. All I ask is to look at Paul closer. A new scandal just came out about Huckabee and his views on people with AIDS. Paul doesn't attract the same stuff. Maybe in the coming weeks you can put the one issue aside that you disagree with him on and place a vote for freedom by voting for Ron paul =) thanks for the lively discussion.
i believe that ron paul is the most principalled man in congress. i have followed him for yrs. your support for him is admirable. he is a good man. i just wish he disagreed w/ my philosophy on any other matter. btw RP said he would support the fairtax hr25 if it were passed.
I hope you are right about Huckabee being able to resolve the middle-east conflicts, cbeause if not, we are in deep trouble. He also has to resolve how we will pay for it. In the mean time I will go with Paul who's prediction have been right on the money. =)
just imagine, if you will, that you are an american preacher during the 60s. imagine a wave of rebellious rock music was being introduced by muslim rockstars. the youth in your congrgation want to be like them. now imagine that on every other page of the bible says christians should kill the nonbelievers because they break gods laws. what would your next sermon be. this explains wahibian motives.
gold95, if RP doesnt get the nomination, do you think hell run on a 3rd party ticket? he still has a lot of money that hes not spending. if huckabee doesnt get the nomination and RP runs on a 3rd ticket i will probably vote RP.
No your wrong again!! back in 1784 or so Islamic terrorists captured two ships and demanded ransom monies. which we gave them! The next year the crew of captured ships were sold into slavery. by 1799 ransoms paid by the US got as high 1/7 of the national revenue! Thus the Marine cores was founded and then stormed tripoli, to put an end to it all!! So much for the end to it all! And they talked over and over but the Koran allows them to lie to us infidels all they want with out sinning!
I'm sorry, it was 1801 and the battle of Tripoli was a result of pirates, not Islamic terrorists. Pirates were a common problem in the middle-east at that time. That had nothing to do with the Quoran and I hope you don't believe it did. I'm not sure why you say I am wrong "again." When was a wrong before?
The Barbary pirates were islamics, authorized by their Koran to do what ever they willed! And yes I think they would have meet the definition of being terrorists. If you don't think that Pirates are a form of terrorist, please tell me how and why you think this. They don't have a country like modern terrorists, and they commit acts of terror! Only it use to be ships they hijacked and not planes.
I think you pretty much already made up your mind. I hope you are right about your choice, or we will be in big trouble. I also hope you know how to resolve how to pay for the war and that you are right about the people living in Iraq will be fine with our occupation and won't hold any resentment towards us. God Bless. When you get a chance watch some of the Ron Paul videos.
Tomas Jefferson and John Adams asked the ambassador from Triploi why the ships were attacked? He told them "That it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every..[Muslim] who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise"
Unfortunately, there are people who would be happier if Americans and frankly all Westerners who do not believe in their god could be wiped off the map. It's a sad truth, but a truth none the less. Us being in their neighborhood wouldn't change their hate. And yes, they didn't have the capability to attach 50 years ago. They're working on that...
For all Huckabee supporters. We would love for you to consider Ron paul. he has consistently been against taxes over 30 years. He wants to eliminate the IRS. HE is a Christian. He is pro-life. He is anti-patriot act. Give him a chance! Huckabee has too much baggage. Paul has none.!
I appreciate your opinion, but I am not sure why you believe Huckabee is the man for the job. What is his plan exactly? Also, do you not think that staying in Iraq occupying them would cause more problems than good? ell me what Huckabee's plan is. Thank you in advance
Thanks for your answer. A couple fo questions. What is working exactly? Has the fighting stopped? What is the goal exactly? If it is working why do we need to stay there?
Now Iran and Al queda are fighting a proxy war with us in Iraq! We must defeat both and pacify the country! If we don't then a new training ground for terror will emerge and we will have more terror on our streets!
How long do you think it will take to defeat them? And don't you think that by staying there would create more of them? Israel has been fighting for 50 years now and it doesn't look like it is going to stop anytime soon. However, even if you are right, do you think it is a good idea for us to borrow money from the Chinese AT INTEREST hugh amounts of money to keep it going? And who is going to pay for it without increasing taxes? Do you want a 20% increase ion your income taxes to pay for it?
There is no price on freedom, but i don't want to give up my freedom trying to install a democracy in a country who is driven by religious fanatics. Second, I am pretty sure at this point that if we left them alone over there and opened up trade with them we would be in much better shape. Always consider the golden rule. Do unto others...
In a little while, I think that you would be right about them standing up on their own.
As to the golden rule, your right! If this country was run by a dictator, I would welcome Mexico, england, or Japan, coming in to liberate us from that dictator!
furthermore on the golden rule! We broke the country in the process of liberating it! Now we are moraly obligated to fix it!
Even if it means we go broke and American here suffer? Even if it means that we go into debt with the Chinese even further? Even if it means that more young men and women over there grow up to hate America and have a desire for vengeance? Even if the war will take 100 years? I am not so sure.
Ever heard of Christian Just War principle? Huckabee is not a real man and neither you are hiding behind your keyboard. Why are you not fighting the war yourself?
Ron Paul is a real man who served his country and did not dodge draft. He is also a man of peace and does not want to commit ourself to unnecessary wars. He voted YES for afghanistan war to catch Osama.
Mostly those that sponsor terrorism against us and our allies! Saddam didn't honor the cease fire or treaty that ended the first gulf war! thus we had no choice but to go back in and finish the Job!
I completely understand what you are saying, but I want to remind you that your reasons are not the reasons giving to us by the Whitehouse. Also, what in your mind would be qualifications for someone to be a dictator that requires US intervention? Should we go to Africa and intervene in the slaughter of 1000s of people by dictators?
This was one of the many reasons given! But, I don't care what Bush says! Iraq is free today! And now we are proxy fighting Iran and Al Queda to keep it free!
No we have to pick our fights!
If you are one person on the street and see 20 different crimes taking place and can only stop a couple, should you sit back and do nothing??? No you stop what you can stop, and do the good that you can do!
Why do you think they picked Iraq? There weren't any terrorists there before we went in. Saddam hated all of that. In fact he ran a secular country, and yes he was brutal, but there are a lot of brutal people in the world unfortunately. Don't you worry that we can't afford it? At some point we have to stop or we will end up with our own Iraq here, i.e. complete monetary chaos or worse.
No, your Wrong! he hide Know terrorists in his country! He ran training camps for them! He was also a sponsor of terror against other states. The family of every murderous homicidal terrorist that blew himself up in Israel, was given a very large sum of money!
gold95, you are a credit to the RP campaign. RP is a brilliant man whom i greatly respect. i wish i could vote for him,but unfortunately, he believes terrorists want to kill because of foreign policy. this is a GRAVE mistake! i urge you and ron paul to READ THE QUORAN and listen to what the wahabists say.
Hey Cat, i respect your honesty and opinion, but I may take issue with your stance for the following reasons. 1) The 9/11 is recent in history and there were no known desire from Muslims to attack the US prior to our involvement in Israel and military engagement in the Middleeast. 2) The 9/11 Commission Report cites our involvement overseas being partly instrumental for the attacks.
Let me follow that with there was no evidence that the attacks on 9/11 was a result of scriptures in the Quoran.. Even Wolferwitz said that our bombings were instrumental in the reasons for the attacks. The CIA has supported that. If I am wrong, and its possible, why hasn't there been any evidence that this was just some random religious attack? Thanks for being open for discussion.
i find it peculiar that we give credence to every explanation given, except for the ones given by the perps. they quote the quoran constantly and refer to this as a holy war. i read the quoran because i heard so many diff. things about islam, and wanted to know 4 myself. i am a proud libertarian, but my party is wrong about islam. READ IT!
The reason why is probably because the Whitehouse gave those reasons and we are there because the Whitehouse decided we needed to go. They didn't use holy war or the Quoran as a reason. Also, how do you explain why they waited until Sept 11, 2001 to attack us and not let's say 100 years ago. If you believe it is the Quoran that is responsible for the attacks.
muslims have brutally attacked everyone that their culture has come into contact with. out of about 100 hotspots for violence around the world, 98 are muslims attacking others. why did muslims attack the peaceful hindus in india? was it foreign policy? india gave them 1/3 of their country(pakistan) and they are still killing hindus.
I am not a big fan of religion, but I would say that wars have been fought not only for religious reasons, but for power too. Chinese have fought many other people, like Buddhist. Catholics v. Protestants. I also think the "war" between the US and Muslim fundamentalist is very different from let's say the India v. Pakistan. I just don't think it is that simple.

I'm not so sure its so fair. The question really is why do we need all these taxes? Do you believe the Government has absolute right to tax your body through labor?
gold95 4 years ago
the constitution mandates that all taxes levied by government shall be of a voluntary nature. the 16th amend. is(income tax) is therefore illegal and should be repealed. revenue is needed to accomplish "legitmate" rolls of gov. the fairtax is the most widely researched reform bill that was created by worlds leading economists
catfrenzy 4 years ago
I have studied the Constitution pretty well, but I don't recall there being voluntary taxes, unless you mean excise/import/export taxes. My question is then, if the Income tax is illegal why should we replace it? Why do we need the tax on labor to begin with? Also, what exactly is the fairtax?

In Arkansas, people really support Governor Huckabee because he was a great governor who was very good for the people. A few days ago, Rasmussen polled Arkansas specifically. delleslie 4 years ago
Don't believe their deceit.

gold95 4 years ago
So we should give in to the bullies!
BarHamelech 4 years ago
I am not sure that is the proper question at this point. First i think we need to understand why they are "bullies." Now if you think they are just running around attacking people for no reason then they are just bullies, but so far the evidence does not support that. They hate American involvement with Israel, with their oil, with their internal affairs, and most, the hate our military intervention over there. From that point of view, they may just be fighting back.
gold95 4 years ago
Of course they dont like all of those things, which is because it gets in their way of world domination, which is their very goal and purpose!
If you have ever studied the ideas of militant Jihad then you would understand this!
BarHamelech 4 years ago
I know there are some very irrational people over there, but I am not convinced that they would have an axe to grind with us if it wasn't for the fact that we are interfering with their internal affairs, going after their oil, supporting Israel, and again, commit our military to covert operations and bombings. If none of the foregoing has any relevance, why didn't they attack us let's say 50-150 years ago? We were a lot freer back then and the Quoran was still in full effect.
gold95 4 years ago
100 yrs ago they lacked the ability to attack the US. we were, however, not high on their list of priorities because the muslim world was not adopting american culture and modeling the "new muslim society" after us. most of the terrorist come from modern islamic countries expiriencing cultural rev. The mullahs preach that the "great satan" must be exterminated in order to keep their society pure.
catfrenzy 4 years ago
Who was on their priority list back then, and at around what time frame do you think the United States became a priority?
Is it fair to infer from your post that you believe that American culture over there is a reason why they hate us?
gold95 4 years ago
western culture is transforming most muslim countries dramatically. they are eating up ganster rap and girls in bikinis. this is like the end of the world to the wahabist and proof that we are wicked and deserving of death according to the quoran. they dont hate our freedom; but rather our establishment of freedom in their lands(which includes freedom to choose western lifestyle.)
catfrenzy 4 years ago

gold95 4 years ago
dont put all of your faith in gov. commisions to find the best explanations for events. im sure 9/11 comm. has some good insight, but it is far from the complete story.look at where the terrorists came from. egypt, suadi arabia, jordan, yemen. all modernising and westernising countries.all cultures clash when they mix. add to it the tyrranical and violent nature of islam and its thats where we are.

BarHamelech 4 years ago
I'm sorry, it was 1801 and the battle of Tripoli was a result of pirates, not Islamic terrorists. Pirates were a common problem in the middle-east at that time. That had nothing to do with the Quoran and I hope you don't believe it did. I'm not sure why you say I am wrong "again." When was a wrong before?
gold95 4 years ago
The Barbary pirates were islamics, authorized by their Koran to do what ever they willed! And yes I think they would have meet the definition of being terrorists. If you don't think that Pirates are a form of terrorist, please tell me how and why you think this. They don't have a country like modern terrorists, and they commit acts of terror! Only it use to be ships they hijacked and not planes.

When you get a chance watch some of the Ron Paul videos.
gold95 4 years ago
Tomas Jefferson and John Adams asked the ambassador from Triploi why the ships were attacked? He told them "That it was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Koran, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every..[Muslim] who should be slain in Battle was sure to go to Paradise"

However, even if you are right, do you think it is a good idea for us to borrow money from the Chinese AT INTEREST hugh amounts of money to keep it going?

Explain to me how getting rid of a murdering thug of a dictator, wasn't just war!
As far as hiding, Nope! We all are given different talents! and in my case the keyboard is mightier than the sword!

Do you believe we should get rid of every thug dictator in the world or just Saddam?
gold95 4 years ago

READ IT!
catfrenzy 4 years ago
