I grew up in Morgan City and moved away over 25 yrs. Stupid people can say ugly things about Morgan City but when I go home it is still home,the people are nice real cajun people.I had to leave due to my husbands job but if not I would still be living in MC. The people who don't like MC should go live in N.O. where you will be robbed at gunpoint. Leave MC if you don't like it!

My granny lives like 5 minutes away from lake end park. Everytime i go to visit her i always go to lake end to take photos. :) Ive gotten some really nifty ones.

This park is about the only place that looks pretty here. This town has not been updated probably since the late '50. They have added some fast food restaurants and hotels, but that is about it. If you are considering moving here "don't do it"! I mean who else would have a "Shrimp and petroleum festival" together? Sounds yummy! When I Watched the New York Morgan City style video,I laughed and saw that it had not changed much at all.

Every where else in the state has had growth and this place declined and they have industry but declined becasue they are not lawful it is a good ole boy system all the way. I only go there for funerals I am so glad I sold that land this place is a dead end. Their police force is under investigation last I heard. I use to walk to work the police would hassle me all the time it isn't illegal to walk! ACLU could rack up win after win there MCLA you can kiss my ass.
