Check out a 16 year old Texas kid doing a pretty fair job of Jesus Just Left Chicago and Brown Sugar on guitar under Zack Mullins. Keep that Texas Blues going!
This is from Germany in 1983. I saw ZZ Top in SF bay area during this same tour. One of the top 3 shows I have ever seen. This tour was their absolute peak IMHO.
Does anyone know why when they remastered this song for the "Six pack" albums, he re-recorded such a horrible sounding "chicaaaago" lyric? does anyone know what i'm talkin' about. The original Tres Hombres version sounds the best.
It was right after"Afterburner".They re-mastered all of their old stuff, and it's near impossible to find the original versions.I totally agree, they need to undo that mistake, and remaster everything right.
lol screw them they dont get it people looked at obama like he was jesus and hes from chicago and he did leave chicago so it can only mean jesus left chicago haha
This is awesome!

They're are doing just as good as when I heard n saw them sssssssssslide into this in 1975 when this tune was new.
The place was the Shrine Mosque in Springfield - a small space really to fill a BIG leagendary band and their sound.

I love Hill's nasty bass work, just this side of funky; grimy and mean.

I heard him say on a radio interview that his sound is like: "farting in a garbage can!". You don't get much better bass then Dusty!
