i think this was the orginal mr. wrestling tim woods. do you have any footage of tim woods feuding with buddy rogers big john studd and jimmy snuka. i think paul orndorff and tony atlas was helping woods at that time. woood was ummasked as mr wrestling. this took par in the mid-atlantic era. i am looking for this on dvd.
Awesome!! I was 8 years old and already a 3 year wrestling fan. One of my earliest memories {of anything at all} was my cousin and I watching Ox Baker on tv and yelling at him. I was either 5 or 6 at the time. I also remember very vividly the first time I ever heard Dusty Rhodes speak. He was a heel at the time and I was very young but even then I recognized the charisma he had.
@lastwolflord Truth be told, I have no clue about the origin of the source tape. I was digging through some old files I had downloaded years ago and stumbled across this. It would be great if there was more stuff from this era floating around, I'm guessing this aired years later as part of some "Mat Classics" retrospective or something like that.
Anybody have any vintage Tim Woods/Mr. Wrestling matches? Please upload!!

Amazing to see this. I was very young in North Carolina the first time I saw Mr. Wrestling, sometime around '69-'70.

What a match! Not often I get to see the original Mr. Wrestling, and Bill Watts for that matter!

Solie named a couple of great wrestling promoters in that clip...Paul Jones of Atlanta and Sam Muchnick of St Louis.
