Shame how they changed the arcitecture on the Criteron (sp) Pub. Now it is all steel and modern. It was a classic English pub. I hear England is losing their pub culture. Too bad.
To say that Pink Floyd "milked" Syd's mental illness just seems wrong to me. I think that Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here both came from trying to understand and cope with Syd's breakdown. They didn't "milk" it at all, as that would imply that they only used Syd's illness for profit. Good music comes from raw emotion, and as a musician, you write about what is emotionally powerful to your soul, and seeing a lifelong friend (Syd) go like he did would be very emotional.

Soil from his garden?! Jesus Christ and people wonder why he locked himself away.. There's a difference between being a fan and being a stalker.

@shine350 - They always seem so genuine and remorsful, if you ask me. Better than completely never mentioning him ever again, surely?

It really is shameful the way the other band members milked the whole crazy Syd thing

@shine350 I wonder, do they really milk it, or is it interviewer's asking questions like,
" how does that relate to syd?" "when did you last see him?" "why did he leave the band?" " Where is he?"
Then they record the answers and everyone says "For god sake, stop going on about Syd"
I dont think floyd are rude enough to say " You know what, can we drop it now?!"
