  • The wonderful thing about such a catastrophe is that the damage done to our DNA is easily passed off as cancer which could be caused from multiple sources. Our governments get plausible deniability for creating such havoc on our species, and the rest of us are none the wiser.

Since they control all the information they get to tell us why we are getting sick and our children deformed. It's a win-win for the rich and powerful...

  • This guy makes a living by hyping 'radiophobia' and suing nuclear powerplants as the chief engineer of 'Fairewinds Associates'. I sure he's drumming up a class-action suit right now.

And 'hot particles' are entirely detectable with geiger counters.

  • There is a time and place for everything, including a time to "freak" out. You really want to freak out? Think about all the highly radioactive water in the ocean, Do you think it just sits there? The sun evaporates alot of the water which can create Radioactive Storms. Storms which intern move inland and contaminate the water supply and soil even further. Guess where the water flows? Towards the U.S..

  • @Oblivionsurveyor I was under the impression that the particles are heavy enough to sink. And that the concern is greater about the effect on the food chain.

  • @Tyrfingr

Strontium and Cesium 137 have made it to the United States, there is already confirmation of this. The food chain will just be the instrument that further increases death rates, but the immediate threat for the short term is breathing in these hot particles. If you survive the initial phase where the particles are floating around in the air, you then need to survive the poisoning of our food supply.

  • @Tyrfingr yes and no, The radiation is greater on the sea floor of course, probably huge chunks of plutonium rods resting on the sea bed right now. The problem is the radiation is being obsorbed by the water. Think of how the reactor works, creates steam and condenses the steam back into water. The steam remains Radioactive before it is re-condensed. So its logical to assume radiation can travel through the natural evaporation process. Heavier isotopes will be left behind

  • @Oblivionsurveyor Hmmm that sounds reasonable, i didn't think about the condensation.

  • We are told known of this on the BBC it is very odd!

    Is it not news?

  • My agenda? I get hes just trying to warn people, i get that... everybody in america is aware of the japan situtation, but does he need to keep reminding us every fucking day? HOW THE FUCK IS THAT GOING TO HELP ANYONE???

  • Ya, freak out people even more! NICE FUCKING WORK

  • @Fox250R how much do you get paid to troll nuclear disaster videos on youtube? your youtube comments over the last couple months make little sense. you seem to hate on people who are genuinely putting out good content. not sure what your agenda is here? maybe your just trying to understand how fucked you really are with this situation just like the rest of us. it is interesting how CNN is giving Arnie front stage knowing he'll tell everybody that we are in deep shit on this one.

  • Good coverage, Arnie.
