  • @chanceramone I thought about this, and the white artists were covering songs done by black artists and not the other way around. I mean Chuck Berry or Ruth Brown weren't doing Kentucky Moon or I Fall to Pieces. Country played a part for sure, but the influence was mostly from black to white. I mean Buddy Holly did Brown Eyed Handsome man and Bo Diddly covers for goodness sake. Don't get me started about Pat Boone.
