Nah, that "kid" at the time was a grown man, a veteran RBWI Instructor, and a talented martial artists in his own right. RBWI was rough and no pads or gear was worn so he was used to contact. We all were, that was just the way it was back then. Mr. Bussey pulled the kick and as you can see Mr. Jaksha was just fine standing up right after the demo was over. It looks good for the show. We used to sign up lots of people after demos like this.
It still blows me away how many people still think this kind of stuff will work in a real street fight. It looks pretty and cool. I give props to martial arts experts who put in the hard work and time to do the demos. They look impressive. If you like to live with a false sense of security and think you can pull moves like this in a real fight, you will be let down when it doesn't work. Concentrate on boxing, muy thai and brazilian jj and you'll stand a much better chance.
@surobakianinpo Your little "ninja" magic won't work against anyone that has wrestled or studied an actual combat sport like Muay Thai, so why try and make it seem like you are the exception to the rule. Have fun living in your fantasy world of Ninjas and SAFTA.
@ZachMac209 well if you consider things like fighting without gloves, groin kicks, throat punches and eye pinching magic, than yes, i'm well within my little fantasy world. so go on living in your little ring. but remember - there's no referee to save you out here...
Parlor tricks! It was nice choreography for sure but 5K you must get off of his jock. I worshiped the ground he walked on in 1988 and obviously I was an easily fooled teenager. I respect the time he put in and the tradition he follows but you are a fool to think he is going to drop an asskicking on BJ Penn anytime soon.
@hosmanc Well said! You nailed it big time. I remember, before any one of us knew any better, that bussey was it back then. I lived in Arlington, Tx when he had his school at the Forum 303 mall. I couldn't agree more with you. It's amazing that today, people still believe in this stuff.
And by the way..I thought Ninjas were assassins? Since when did they need those fancy 540 spin kicks and whatnot? I have read a few accounts on Bullshido about how his Bujinkan lineage is a complete farce and he actually studied Tae Karate Fu somewhere as a teenager. Funny you mentioned the Arlington school because his brother Michael had that one I think and tried really hard to figure out how to move there to study with them as a tardager! Glad it didnt work out for me!
@hosmanc Yes, I agree. Good thing it didn't work out for you. I remember that one day, I actually went to the mall interested in joining his school. His school was open but he wasn't there. He was a security officer at the mall and was busy handling a disturbance or something. A kid, who was in there eating a taco, told me that he would be right back. I waited there for about 30 minutes before I decided to leave. I left and never went back. Good thing because I didn't waste my time or $.
that was very nice technique, performed with expertise.
I would give anything to see him wipe out the MMA world, he is definitely the man who could go into UFC and clean house. They would not know what happened to them.

@surobakianinpo LOL you are right, everyone that learns a combat sport forgets how to fight on the street completely.

@xvidzzz ~Scott Morris, Meh, hes not a good example.
Most UFC fighters are just adrenaline fueled, melee savvy brutes.
There are not many of them who have astounding technique, [if any!]
~Ground & Pound happens when someone isnt talented enough to K.O his opponent before going to the mat. Bussey it totally capable of doing just that.

Bussey is the man, his ferocity is unparalleled,
that was very nice technique, performed with expertise.
