  • low down country ..... one of Loretta's best ever . They'll never replace the one's like Loretta Lynn who came from nothing and made their mark forever ..

  • @stelio1214 Legends cannot be replaced but the void they leave can be filled somewhat inadequately.

  • @oldtexasmusic Just like everything else Country music changes over time . It has to in order to survive but when I hear the legends like Kitty Wells , Loretta Lynn and Reba, to a lesser degree ,and those others from their day it's special to me . What we have today is talented alright but there's too much glitz . Also while Kitty Wells is still around no one else can claim to be the " queen of country music ". God Bless Her.

  • Great

  • @claysjavelin1 I agree. Thanks Hillard.

  • Great stuff Marcus. Incidentally, I don't think I have heard any songs by Patsy Montana.

    George

  • @pastore0506 Well, she was very active in the late 30s and earl y 40s. Had her own radio show out of San Antonio. Her million seller was "I Wanna Be A Cowboys' Sweetheart". Many of the later stars, in my opinion, were better than she was but she was OK. I'll see about posting her hit.

  • Hi,I like Loretta singing her own style of crying in my beer song.

Or I might just kick over the traces, and get my own back song

Loretta one of the first Queens of Country music.

  • @BABSINUK There are many country female singers and just about every one of them have been called the queen of country music, Loretta included. LOL!! My opinion is that Patsy Montana is the queen of country music is different from many but my reasons is that she had the first million seller and she was before all the others, but for a lady that Naomi Wadsworth put on. MY OPINION. LOL!!!
