@murryduck He was insanely tough in the 1st Generation, so much that he could easily take down an entire team single handed. Your best option was to use Mewtwo against Mewtwo.

Even with 499 more pokemon then the first Generation, I would still put Mewtwo in the top 5 and as the best Psychic type and still ranks 6th in speed and 2nd in both Special Attack and Overall Stat totals according to Serebii.net

@Gamedraco I suppose, but then again, and this is sort of an obvious question, who would win, Darkrai? or Mewtwo? And out of all the new unova legendaries, which do you think could match mewtwo best?

@murryduck It depends as Mewtwo has Darkrai killing Aura Sphere and is slightly faster but Darkrai probably could do overkill by putting it to sleep and Dark Pulseing. There is one Unova legendary that would give Mewtwo a run for its money. Genesect which Bug-Steel with high attack and special attack stats but not blazing fast like Darkrai or Mewtwo.

@Gamedraco True enough, that and Darkrai's ability Bad Dreams causes damage every turn it's foe is asleep, and I'd have to say genesect would probably be a match, though I wouldn't be surprised if mewtwo could learn a fire move and own it, IMO? I think Victini might stand a pretty good chance, it being fire/psychic, fast, and victory star ability increasing accuracy, I think it'd hold up well.

@murryduck Mewtwo can more TMs and HMs then any other except for Mew and Arceus and yes it can learn Flamethrower and Fire Blast. Probably the best moves for Mewtwo are by far Psychic and Recover. Aura Sphere, Shadow Ball, Energy Ball, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, Brick Break, Earthquake, Rock Slide, and Calm Mind also are very good choices for Mewtwo as well.

@Gamedraco yes, that's quite true, Recover is just awesome, and the signature psychic does well, although, and this is just my opinion, Deoxys Attack Forme would give the genetic being quite a run for it's money.
