    amazing steve spangler ur awesome

  • I did this in Science class! :)

  • You can still find the glass eyedroppers in some pharmacies. I have a set I bought in the baby section.

  • You can do this with ketchup packets too but it might take a while to find the perfect one

  • Does it have to be glass?

  • @achavez200 It doesn't. He used the plastic kinds as well. The only problem is that the plastics are too light so he has to put weights on it. But glass doesn't have that problem so you can just drop those in without puting weights.

  • haha im doing this for my science project. Hope I win!

  • its no secret no more

  • its also possible to do this with a glass bootlegger's bottle instead of plastic pop bottles

  • SQUIDDYY!!! XDD

  • "i know your contract says don't touch the hair but..." lol steve always has these funny comments :P

  • A good project, but why lie to kids when teaching science? Shouldn't they save that for religion?

  • Squidy. Look at him go.

  • did this in 8th grade science class. we had to make it ourselves with no instruction at all. we even had to write our own lab sheet. half the class failed.i did not. we had to use a pipet, 2 paperclips, a rubber band, and clay.

  • @Stevespanglerscience hey thanks i got this one i like it a lot thanks

  • u could use ketchup as the diver but full the bottle all the way up

  • OMFG I ACCIDENNTLY PRESSES THUMBS DOWN!!! SORRY EVERYONE

  • Excuse me, I had a question.

Could you explain in easily understandable language how does the Cartesian Diver work? I thought that it happens because when you apply pressure on the bottle, water moves into the diver & also compresses the air in it. Both of these things cause the diver to become heavier than water and that is why the diver sinks. And then when you don't apply pressure, the air returns to the normal condition in the diver and rises up.

Please tell me how does it work???!!!

  • do you sell "Squiddy" too?

  • @panpap12345 absolutely!

  • how do you make it with homemade stuff

  • i love this channel

  • pls reply do you have those eyedrops things on your website?

  • @jonathan12350 we do sell them on our site. We call them pipettes.

  • is it sad that iv seen every single video?

  • works with a condoment package too like ketchup or mustard packets

  • @ScumbagKorain the bead of air inside of the ketchup bag compresses when you squeeze the bottle and sinks let go and it floats up.

  • I don't understand... There is a clip on youtube with a guy doing this with a small bag of ketchup, and I've also seen it with the heads of matches, and they all behave the same. Are you sure this isn't just a matter of pressure? I mean, the water can't get into the ketchup bag.

  • hire the Clown....Me!!!! Just kidding Love it!!!!

  • I made one of these for my students and they just used it to beat each other with :(

  • @PennyDorkis rofl copter hahaha thats hilarious... i cant stop laghing

  • In the 70's I got a "Sea Diver" toy, same principle but it had little hooks to pick various objects up on the bottom. Thanks for reviving pleasant memories.

  • Definitely doesn't work by forcing water into whatever the bobber is.. It has to do with the increased pressure in the bottle. Whatever gas is inside the floating thing is affected because it's less dense than the water. When you squeeze the bottle, the water puts more pressure on the gas and makes it sink. I'm kind of starting to think this guy doesn't really know much of anything.

  • @J03Y13 watch the eyedropper closely and you will see the amount of water inside increasing when you squeeze the bottle.

  • @Stevespanglerscience I like how you respond to people being jack asses in such a peaceful way.

  • @TrAnMu ;)

  • @Stevespanglerscience pleez make sum new vids

  • @TheAwesomenurd we are working on something new and exciting... stand by!

  • @Stevespanglerscience pressure....the water pressure compreses the air, so water fills in

  • thanks for the awesome trick thing:D

  • nice

  • A really cheap method is that some sauce packets [ketchup, mustard, honey, etc.] will do this, the difficulty is that some don't and you can waste some time finding one that works.

  • Me toowell^^

  • Me like as well
