They need crash pads. I had them in my Judo gym, they were the shit. You could practice your throws, and your finishing drive without any risk, other than missing the pad, to your partner. Theese look pretty cool too though.
Because, to learn a throw, you must practice it over and over. Learning on the dummy is a safe way to learn it, without causing injury from the repeated trauma, or from doing it wrong. The person doing the throw can concentrate on the technique, and not be worried about causing an injury to their partner if they do it wrong etc.
@quizzachu To perfect throws, we use to do hundreds of throws a day, that is how you get closer to perfection, no person would agree to be thrown 200 times in one day and if you messup you can injure somebody too.
0:20 is all you need. Make the other guy land on his head or face, and the fight is probably over.

I use a boxing heavy bag for training. it only about 32 kg but still gives a good workout
