@atibatianya Zumba does require all instructors to do a proper warm-up, that gradually increases the heart rate and the stress on all muscle groups. Do not judge the quality of the program, by the quality of some of its instructors. Not all doctors graduate with an A, but they are still allowed to treat patients. It's a far from perfect world, but it is what it is. Zumba is an awesome program, built following all Fitness norms. Not all Zumba instructors graduated with A, so to say.
Hey! Love love love this! I'm really liking pitbull at the moment! Where did u get the clean version of this song I could only find the explicit version on iTunes. Keep up the brilliant work! I run classes in Scotland so would live to try this at my class! Thanks!! :-)
I have some people that like cueing and some that don't care as long as they can follow... Whatever floats there boat. Every instructor has there style and you cant please everyone... Keep up the great work fit2bstrong!
Thank you for all of the constructive criticism.. I do verbally communicate in my classes but if I don't have a mic.. I do have non-verbal skills. The beautiful thing about teaching Zumba or any other format is there are so many styles of teaching! If you don't like how one person teaches you may love the way another does. I am very fortunate that I teach to such a fun, open and diverse group in TN! Thanks again and no matter how you teach, have pride in it and mostly. HAVE FUN!! Happy Zumbaing!
@fit2bstrong Good for you! I taught in public schools for 32 years. GOOD teachers watch their students to see if they need cueing! Who wants to go to a class and be frustrated, not knowing what's coming next , then being behind??? Use whatever cues works best for YOUR students!
@unkokoa ..i like her choreo but yes, I will have to agree with you. Feeling the music is supposed to be the whole point, not voicing the next moves. Great choreo tho!
@unkokoa I don't know where people came up with the idea that zumba is a non-verbal class....its whatever your class needs to understand the next move.she is really awesome...It is totally a huge misconception that we should not use a mic and that we should not cue...@unkokoa I don't know where people came up with the idea that zumba is a non-verbal class....its whatever your class needs to understand the next move.
@unkokoa The more experienced you are and the more participants come to your class -the less cueing is needed-but if you have new people in class or a new song- participants appreciate being reminded what to do next. Cueing is totally allowed and encouraged by zumba. Your participants are what matters- not what another instructor thinks...also good idea to practice flipping to face the class if you can.-mirror imaging is really helpful to the participants.
Great choreo, but I do hope this is your 2nd or 3rd warm up song in the routine, otherwise it's a bit too much too soon per warm up guidelines stated by Zumba & fitness instruction.
oh my god, I LOVE this. So much fun - the way exercising should be! Especially when you started "whoo hoo"ing, you had me in stitches. I wish I had a class like this in Ottawa. It looks like a blast. Thanks for the post.
I like the moves, but still I have problems with this Zumba warm ups. Because they are not really warm ups.
