I don't know why people give independent fundamentals a bad name other than the fact that we may have a different, maybe somewhat stricter set of standards. After all, it's not a religion that saves. The Christian life is nothing like I thought it was when I started out 21 years ago(but actually He was with me my whole life). Now I belong to Him. At 12 I refused an alter call & my life became a dark abyss. We can't come to Him unless we are drawn. If He calls you, see to it that you do not refuse the call or you'll wander in darkness until you repent and do untold damage to yourself and your life. If you hate the darkness, cry out to Jesus.

Not Mary, who was merely a vessel for birthing and raising Jesus in human form, but through JESUS. We can go to Him ourselves. Okay Mary happened to be a virgin when God put Jesus in her (ie the miracle) but she did go on to have other children, and in every way she really was just a woman, that God chose to use in a special way.

Ever since i accepted Jesus as my personal savior my world has been transformed. Now, my life was molded and anointed to the heavenly music, worshiping and praising the living God. Just learned this song after MANY MONTHS of consistent practice. I had so much difficulty singing it, and then one day I was led to discover that the song is NOT so much SUNG, as it is PRAYED. THAT'S when everything comes together. When Im in that place of worship that I call "the cocoon" where everything seems to drop away and it's just you and God, it's a transcendent place that is indescribable and where these lyrics take on a power that is incredible.
I used to like PCD. Then after finding out that they have a heretical view of the Trinity, I stopped being a fan. But it's really only because of their doctrine that I can no longer support them. Really sad.

Start reading the bible - but not to prove that does not exist - just talk to Him and read His Word. If He does or does not exist will be proven to YOU. Dont discount something or someone without proof.

God is the 'peg' for the round empty hole that is in everyones' being. They just need to have the small wind blow enough to know that it plugs in together. Like lining up a jet to mid-flight refuel..once you get it...you GET it ! \o/ Only you can unplug it.-->He is a gentleman...He will not unplug you. The Christian life is nothing like I thought it was when I started out 21 years ago(but actually He was with me my whole life). Now I belong to Him. At 12 I refused an alter call & my life became a dark abyss. We can't come to Him unless we are drawn. If He calls you, see to it that you do not refuse the call or you'll wander in darkness until you repent and do untold damage to yourself and your life. If you hate the darkness, cry out to Jesus.

@greenpilgrim50 I remember he called out to me and I answered around that age...after that, I went back to doing what I shouldn't have, fully knowing I shouldn't have because I knew he was trying to pull me away from it. I was like a spoiled brat and he called out to me again recently and I begged for forgiveness...since then, I've been going day by day, re-constructing my life and my mindset. I am the temple of God and a part of the body of Christ, I will no longer dishonor my God.

I'm older now, have read the Bible through and through and and after all my research discovered: He loves YOU soooo much. He's on YOUR side and wants YOU to succeed - in Him. He loves YOU sooo much that He gave His only Son for YOU. Oh how He loves YOU. No matter what you think you've done wrong - or your children, or your parents, husband or wife, He loves YOU and them sooo much He can forgive and restore - if you ask Jesus into your life and ask Him too. But no matter what happend, I always thanked god for the answer because it either ment I was on the right path or there was something in my life that needed to be corrected! i have been a catholic for my whole life, but only now really, at 17, am I finding God.
Only now am I realising how real He is, and how much He loves me. :)
Looking back on my so far still short life, I can see so, so, so many places when he carried me. One explanation for there being only set of footprints at so many stages.
God is so amazing.
And in so many people can I see His light shine.
There are a few select people who showed me the light.
And to them, I am so thankful. :)

He is the only one who shed His blood for the whole world on the cross. Remember He Forgave the thief on the cross not Mary, she was there but Jesus forgave him. I hope you will get a regular Bible & study the Word of God. God bless you & help you to understand His Word. Try an Assembly of God Church, give it some time you will love it.

@ucheanita That's great then! But the fact remains that sometimes it replaces God/Jesus throne since she was given more importance than HIM. You are right as well that God is very interested us getting into relationship with him so that we can have direct contact with him. We don't need anyone else to intercede before GOD than JESUS. God wanted us to focus to HIM AND HIM ALONE, and no one else...

@ucheanita I don't necessarily ask for a pastor to pray for me, I pray for myself, and I pray for others. Jesus said that 'no one comes to the Father but through ME'. Not Mary, who was merely a vessel for birthing and raising Jesus in human form, but through JESUS. We can go to Him ourselves. Okay Mary happened to be a virgin when God put Jesus in her (ie the miracle) but she did go on to have other children, and in every way she really was just a woman, that God chose to use in a special way.

The Lord Jesus is the only way to salvation. I sometimes doubt whether I should follow him but then I remember what he did for me not only in my life but also in the cross where he shed his holy blood, I want to love him the way he deserves but I am not perfect and sometimes I end up doing things that I know he wouldn't like. I love him soooo much I just want to place him first in my heart. This song is so beautiful it makes me think of the day I new the good news about Jesus Christ.

Just learned this song after MANY MONTHS of consistent practice. I had so much difficulty singing it, and then one day I was led to discover that the song is NOT so much SUNG, as it is PRAYED. THAT'S when everything comes together. When Im in that place of worship that I call "the cocoon" where everything seems to drop away and it's just you and God, it's a transcendent place that is indescribable and where these lyrics take on a power that is incredible.

i'm not religious! i don't listen to gospel music at all!! but once i heard this song in a church my aunt dragged me to. i could not stop listening to it. it became my fav and only gospel song ever. Whenever i am sad or feeling down and out i listen to this song for healing. and i believe it will. and i still have that faith. and i was never let down every time i heard it to feel at ease.
