  • remember when games looked so bad that they rarely showed gameplay in the ads?...i do

  • playing mine right now

  • damn, i was only 2 years old in '85

  • I totally remember that commercial!!

  • the nes is soo epic I wish it made my house fly :(

  • Where is the commercial with the rain? Thats the one that had be scampering to my mom and begging for it Christmas 85.

  • Does this mean that the NES will get you high?

  • @Polargoo Super Mario Bros. is the shit when you're high

  • Pshttt... This is how I play nintendo...

Sit there with friends... stare at screen

The occasional thats what she said joke

  • Nintendo is NASA

  • yeah it's turns out that their nothing but SHIT!!!

  • that robot was a piece of sh!t!!!

  • he picked up the gun like Black Guy!!"

  • I could never get Robbie to work right, those damn gyros. He'd never press the buttons right. So I put him back in his box and never used it again.

  • That's what happens when you're playing 40 HOURS STRAIGHT with your NES.

    Awesome system

  • u.u que tiempos u.u quiciera una super nintendo enserio tengo, tristesa

  • Damn, I remember this commercial like yesterday. My brother got a Sega Master System in 1988, my nephew got a Nintindo Entertainment System in 1990, and I got a Super Nintendo in 1994.

  • Ah the good `ol days. Still have my NES. It's mint. Nothing missing. Still have all the boxes for the games (very rare).

  • @1984AP

Cool, I smashed mine out of frustration with a guitar back in '92 but I had another one so it was okay. : )

  • From October 1985, they actaully sold the NES action set for $249 which included ROB. If you didn't want the worthless ass robot, you purchased the power set for $199. The 80s RULE!!!!

  • We actually had the whole freaking shebang for Christmas in 1985, including the robot.

And Super Mario Bros. came separately.

  • DAMN, were you lucky. how long did you keep ROB?

  • Pretty long, actually. I last saw it in the basement several years ago, but I think we left it there when my parents moved out of the old house. But since there were only two games made for it, we effectively stopped using it after 1987 or so.

We got rid of our NES when it crapped out on us around '93 or so, but we already upgraded to SNES by then. Ironic that we had the robot longer than the system itself.

  • This is how they got kids addicted...my cousin is addicted and hes like 40.

  • that commercial was way over the top!! lol

  • Ahh the nostalgia.

  • lol ROB

  • Aww I wish I still had my NES

  • Hey... Psttt! I'll sell you one for $100 ;)

  • they are woth way more than that

  • True but what if I told you, that even YOU can own one for the low easy payment of $100? (extra for shipping)

  • @J0nasBrotherHater I got my NES for 50 bucks on March 28, 2006... it's not worth 100 bucks. Not in 2006, not in 2008 when you posted your comment, not in 2012... The toploader, on the other hand, is worth 150 or so now.

  • Yeah it took me ages to clean up

  • WICKED*****

  • I know, this very same thing happened to MY house the first time I got my Nintendo NES system!

  • So THAT's what caused the housing crash of the 80s
