Europe has very hilly, forested land, making hunting more a matter of sneaking up on prey or camping in an area that they are known to appear in. In Africa, it is extremely flat, with barely any vegetation, so they would have to sprint to either surprise prey, or follow prey for long periods of time. This would make for two different physiques.
