Strange, mystical, aloof, passionate, this last set (5) of Scriabin's many Preludes receives a superb performance that conveys the emotional indications of the composer: #1: Douloureux, dechirant; #2: Tres lent, contemplatif; #3: Allegro dramatic; #4: Lent, vague, indecis; #5: Fier, belliqueux. Every nuance seems to be there, nothing idiosyncratically willful, just pure Scriabin.....
