Around disneyland is a couple of things. There's of course, Disneyland, California adventure, and there's also universal studios about 45 minutes from Disneyland. (new fee) (only a few rides) but it's very cool to look at. There's also knotts berry farm (somewhere in l.a.) not 100% sure exactly where...lol. Hope that helped!

I dont consider any of the parks to be 'Copycats' because they all carry the magic and happiness of Disney and Walt's idea of a place where children and adults could have fun together. Both parks have taken ideas from one another but they are both happy and fun places to be in. No matter the size or what's surrounding.

@coasterkid95 Yes, in land size, but there are more attractions in Disneyland and DCA combined than in the MK, DAK and the Studios combined at WDW. Even with Epcot thrown in there Disneyland and DCA comes close to matching the number of attractions at all 4 WDW parks combined. Not bad for a resort property that is so much "smaller" than the one in Orlando. Plus, the entertainment is better at Disneyland Resort and the cast members tend to be friendlier and the attractions or higher in quality.

I myself have never been to DisneyWorld, and was wondering what did it for them to come here to Disneyland instead of DisneyWorld. My family and I love Disneyland and we go often. But some day I would like to take my family to DisneyWorld. Even if it is a "copycat", It was Walt Disney's dream, and I hope to see it some day. :D

I also want to see DisneyWorld...hopefully on a make-a-wish trip this summer...I go regularly to Disneyland-bit I don't live in the U.S. Did you ever realize that if you add up Knott's berry farm, Universal Studios, Sea World, Legoland and the two Disneyland Parks(whoch are currently in construction to add more "lands" -DCA-, you get more than WDW!!!!!! Almost everyone fails to realize this...lets not forget the san diego Zoo.
Walt Disney World was planned by Disney, but he died, so it was built by his brother and nephew. Disneyland and Disney World both have 'Walt's personal magic', because they are what he planned; a park where kids and adults could have fun together. Walt Disney World rocks!
@IHeartTheClique1223 WDW was NOT planned by Walt Disney. He only had a hand in the land purchase decisions and the one overall masterplan map that was revealed in his weekly TV show. Other than that NONE of WDW was designed under the supervision of Walt himself. So, there are no personal touches of Walt Disney in WDW. The Orlando property was built by a corporation led by Walt's brother who was a money man. Disneyland is the ONLY park to have the personal touches of Walt Disney himself.

I love both Disneyland and Disneyworld. Disneyland is smaller, but I like that. I think it's perfect for younger kids. And Disney freaks like me lol

when i was 5th grade my parents told me we were going to disneyland and i live in california so thats cool but no big deal...
then after disneyland they told us we were going to the beach.
i was crying at that point because it was the day of the 50th anniversary and i wanted to be there.
then we drove up to the disney cruise, which i believe was the only voyage from LA.
