I knew it! I have been feeling this for awhile now and just thought it was aging. Like a day seemed a really long time when I was 5 and assumed it just felt like it was going faster now that I am an adult, but I always had this underlying thought that even taking that into consideration it still seemed like time was speeding up. For me, in my state of consciousness now, I can't get away from time in my mind. Monday to Sunday feels like a full circle that is getting tighter and tighter. Perhaps eventually it will be so tight it will seem like no time at all!

@superdiza - the rate of descent flows in direct proportion to proximity, like approaching a black hole. I feel the zero point McKenna refers to is more of an event horizon (point of no return) rather than the singularity itself.

I might be mad. I'm still trying to figure that one out. But, I wondered if this theory might explain stretching and compression of time? I have felt lately that at least a couple of days in the last couple of weeks have felt like the day is like 10 times longer than it really is, but clocks still tick the same. Evasius, I thought about this possibility: as much as with October 7 - December 11 2008 and November 14 2010 - January 18 2011, it may be possible that the graph goes off-scale for 64 days ending than on February 23 2013??? If you look closely, the graph does the same for 2010,and in 2010, it does look like its off scale from Nov 2010.

@superdiza - The Kelley set is the original used in McKenna's early work. Later a certain inconsistency was found between the Kelley numbers & the King Wen sequence of the IChing (upon which the timewave is based), the altered version is Watkins. Then later came both Sheliak and HuangTi - Sheliak graph is generated in a completely different manner & is said to be more consistent with the IChing and even more accurate, HuangTi is more of a mystery...all 4 end on Dec. 21, 2012

@superdiza - the first alteration is closest to the original, a slight change was made referred to as 'the twist,' Kelley and Watkins are very similar, Sheliak and HuangTi are very different from the original versions and are calculated in very different ways from not only the originals but each other as well.

@superdiza - the purpose for the different methods of generating the timewave was not to see where it ended, but to 'flesh out' the novelty flux more precisely - the highs and lows prior ro zero. Before McKenna anchored it with 1945, it existed as a free-floating countdown unapplied to our historical timeline. Once applied based on his best assumption of closest fit, it then seemed to make sense, and considering the big picture of the last 60+ years, it makes perfect sense.
