I wouldn't hold out on the X2 Jon. I was actually excited for the X2 until I saw the specs. They're exactly the same as the X1 and the phone is actually being made by SE not HTC this time. Had the specs been more interesting like a snapdragon and higher RAM I would've definitely held out for it but I decided to go with the TP2 and its awesome keyboard instead.

actually i did my digging and research and apparently the company that's making the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 is "Fox"-something (sorry but i don't remember the full-name of the company at the moment), the same company that makes the iPhone. but yep, it's not HTC this time, that makes the phone.

I don't think there's any point in talking about the X2 because the X10 with Androied will overshadow both the X1 & X2 combined, lol.

Well the phone is a year old what can you expect from it. You can't review a phone from over a year old and expect it to be as good as the new phones out now like the Motorola Droid. So you can't compare it with phones from now but from phones back then. Then it was a great phone but now its the past. Even though the 700$ price point is ridiculous.

It's not just you. The interface is a complete gimmick. This phone is an embarrassment to SE. Having to switch through completely different panels to access different information is crap.

@kockgunner Why the hell would it be an embarrasment? You can run all the programs you like but also the panel you like the most. Some like it, some don't. I and a lot of people that I know of really think it's a nice, fast and simple way to switch between completly different interfaces. You can e.g run Touch flow 3d and then switch to any SE panel in a great way, it's just perfect.

jon, the iphone's screen resolution is 480x320, HVGA. Kind of low these days. the DROID's and Xperia x1's is 480x854, otherwise known as WVGA. Very good, twice as sharp. Apple should update the screen resolution on the iphone soon. let me repeat: iPhone: 480x320- HVGA- low. DROID and xperia- 480x854- twice as sharp- WVGA. believe it or not, the iphone does not have the highest screen resolution.

I have the Palm Treo Pro right now, and unless you only make phone calls, text, and email, go ahead and buy this phone. But if you're a person like me and likes to surf the web on my phone and download a lot of apps and widgets, don't get this phone. If I browse the web for more than 10 minutes, the Treo Pro turns into a mini-toaster in my "palm", and I lose about 5-10% of the battery life. Sorry to all the people who like the Treo Pro, but it is not for me. :(
