How could IGN give this game 1 point off because of the unknown character roster? Who cares about it? We don't need each and every tatsunoko character to explain there life story be glad that this game was lucky enough to come to America!

@lodsa464646 It doesn't suck, but most of the games for it do. Which is mostly because "hardcore" gamers weren't willing to accept something new (yet constantly complain that CoD and other games are all the same).

@bleachangel8 I agree, but UMVC3 is fun too. The only thing I don't like about MVC3 is that there are some characters you can spam with forever and win the battle. Also there's no way you're getting out of an infinite combp. It's just not fair and makes the game less fun.

It should've had more street fighter characters.Them Tatsunoko characters are unfamiliar here in Europe.A good game though none the less and the only classic style Capcom's beat'em up found on the Wii.

They should make Toei vs Capcom imagine that Hakuto No Ken, Dragon ball, Goldrake, Sailor moon, Astroboy vs Street fighter, Darkstalker, Rival school, Megaman etc... In fact, that's what they should have done to begin with this instead of tasunuko vs capcom. I mean, except for a few dork like me, there not much people that know about tasunuko character here in North america let alone the fact they use 60's tasunuko stars that don't even aired outside Japan before we were born. Good game tho
@AidanVladimir By the sounds of it you don't have a Wii. This game on the Wii specially tru component cables is a thing of beauty. The DC was great in it's day and it still is but give the Wii and this game it's due.
Should I get this game? I like fast paced fighters and am a huge SF3 Third Strike fan. (Hasn't been a day I haven't played since it came out). But I still question if I should buy this....

@SuperBored5 I know not all fighting games have a story, but in the game after you beat the final fighter it shows something that could be a story. In viewtiful joe's ending it was talking about the dimentsional balance. I was just saying the extra game was bad. The controls were confusing for the tougher attacks mainly for the people not use to those games like me. I still say it could of been a lot better.

Nah, Idk where all the familiar characters were when I played this game since they werent there at all but cant stand the few buttons it uses. I agree almost entirely with this review but,he complained about the unknown characters,to my perspective that's a good thing finally not too many characters we've played with in almost all crossovers and more unknown ones that's a good thing since without this game i would never mained Karas,Yatterman-1,Tekkaman Blade and Joe the Condor,plus the rest,i haven't had the chance to play MVC3 yet but TVC is my favorite fighter/crossover fighter.
@ariashadow actaulllly I say marvel v.s capcom has better combos MvC 3 but it less modes they don't have some of the basic modes and less replay value. and they cut 20 characters since the last marvel vs capcom game play the blasts don't look as cool or flashy as they do TvC
@thegroove14 I've never played this game, but I'm pretty sure I'd agree. Mvc3 pisses me off so badly. You'd think that with all the fantastic artwork and awesome trailers, it'd be a pretty damn cool game. But the controls are terrible (I own the PS3 version btw), there's a painful lack of game modes, and the game play mechanics are just too complicated for their own good. I do not recommend MvC3 for newcomers to the MvC series, like me.

People's opinion of a game only goes so far if you haven't played it yet. Pick up the game, if you don't have a wii, go to a friend who has it. Play it, I promise you, the controls are extremely easy to pick up, and you'll have fun the moment you make that first 7 hit combo. THEN you can cry and bitch about the game.
@kronolisk kinda. . . it has single player arcade mode and after you beat it with any character you will get a few pics and some texts telling a very short story about that character and usually along with some other charactes in the game. hope that helps
I got this game for christmas and loved it. What I didn't like was the online lag and the cheap boss fight in arcade mode. I have already played this game way more than I will ever play Brawl
Ok they did a great review on this one but the uknown roster isnt a bad thing, actually is great to have uknown characters than world wide famous characters, why? i dont know exactly why but there is a reason why people are saying that this is better than Marvel vs Capcom 2 and i think its not the gameplay or the graphics, this game has the "something" that makes it awesome. it doesnt have a big roster thats one of the thing i like of this game.

@uzimakishadow Yeah but barely any body in capcom is GREATLY known to causal gamers. I'll say Street fighter and megaman (and maybe phoneix right) but that is it. And Nintendos and Segas rivalry is probably the biggest gaming rivalry of all time.

@uzimakishadow I know Soul Eater and Fullmetal Alchemist are not really from Square Enix. Just like Sega with Bleach, they produced those. I think Square Enix also made Dungeon Siege.

@uzimakishadow Even if she's overpowerd she is still able to fight. Unlike most of the rest of Sega's cast. Square Enix is know for Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger, FF, KH, producing FMA and Soul Eater. I just want to see a mix of Square ENix characters since you never see that only in Kingdom Hearts, and that's only a few.

I agree almost entirely with this review but,he complained about the unknown characters,to my perspective that's a good thing finally not too many characters we've played with in almost all crossovers and more unknown ones that's a good thing since without this game i would never mained Karas,Yatterman-1,Tekkaman Blade and Joe the Condor,plus the rest,i haven't had the chance to play MVC3 yet but TVC is my favorite fighter/crossover fighter.

@ariashadow actaulllly I say marvel v.s capcom has better combos MvC 3 but it less modes they don't have some of the basic modes and less replay value. and they cut 20 characters since the last marvel vs capcom game play the blasts don't look as cool or flashy as they do TvC

@thegroove14 I've never played this game, but I'm pretty sure I'd agree. Mvc3 pisses me off so badly. You'd think that with all the fantastic artwork and awesome trailers, it'd be a pretty damn cool game. But the controls are terrible (I own the PS3 version btw), there's a painful lack of game modes, and the game play mechanics are just too complicated for their own good. I do not recommend MvC3 for newcomers to the MvC series, like me.

@Ninjadude973 i wouldn't say that it had bad controls, i would say i had fun while playing. here are my problems: lack of modes, questionable roster choices, lame extras, bad online, bad character endings, etc.
also, what happened to the robust story they promised? you think that after ten years of waiting they could have delivered.

People's opinion of a game only goes so far if you haven't played it yet. Pick up the game, if you don't have a wii, go to a friend who has it. Play it, I promise you, the controls are extremely easy to pick up, and you'll have fun the moment you make that first 7 hit combo. THEN you can cry and bitch about the game.

@kronolisk kinda. . . it has single player arcade mode and after you beat it with any character you will get a few pics and some texts telling a very short story about that character and usually along with some other charactes in the game. hope that helps

Ok they did a great review on this one but the uknown roster isnt a bad thing, actually is great to have uknown characters than world wide famous characters, why? i dont know exactly why but there is a reason why people are saying that this is better than Marvel vs Capcom 2 and i think its not the gameplay or the graphics, this game has the "something" that makes it awesome. it doesnt have a big roster thats one of the thing i like of this game.
