  • It falls short when it is used by itself to lead people to believe that's all they need to do to become a member of the Lord's church.

If you want to know what to do to become a member of the Lord's church read the acts of the Apostles. Yes, confession is part of what we must do. All of the books after Acts were written to Christians or churches that had already established in different regions.

  • What exactly does it mean to say: "Jesus Christ is Lord"? Because, even Satan knows that Jesus was raised from the dead, he was probably there, watching...but he cannot be saved.

  • @TheNancySikes I don't want to start an argument - but if you were in the presence of God since the beginning of time, and then rebelled because of pride, would that same pride cause you to go back and ask for forgiveness? Now that's not the same exact case as Satan, formerly Lucifer the archangel and who we guess was the worship leader in heaven Isaiah 14, Ezekiel 28. Man was never in Heaven in the first place. Adam was placed in the garden. I ran out of words, but I hope that clarifies things.

  • TammyBirdBass, It falls short in the examples given by the apostles in what to do to be added to the church. Read the book of Acts, keeping in mind that the apostles were filled with the Holy Ghost. Yes, we are to hear the Gospel, we need to belive the Gospel, we need to confess Jesus, we need to repent, we need to be baptised into Christ for remission of our sins and we need to live faithfully.

  • You say, if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart?

This falls short of what the Holy Ghost filled Apostles taught in the book of conversions (Acts). Are you guilty of teaching something other than what the Apostles taught? Galations 1: 8, 9.

  • @Bagdadbrothers

The quote you mentioned, "If you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord..." is from the Bible - Romans 10:9

    How does it fall short???

  • lovely

  • So, you distress a baby, just to make your lame point?!

And BTW, that baby is without sin...NOT LIKE YOU, AT ALL!

    Shame on you!

  • very good and very cute presentation! God Bless

  • I like this because my heart would still be so lost and cold without my Shepherd.

  • It's like when a massive bully asks you to apologise for something you haven't done.

  • so true!
