Youtube sure can be depressing and yet wonderful at the same time!! YOu look for greating videos of shows like "Califronia Dreams", "Saved By the Bell", etc, find them and jubilation of joy overcomes you, but then those old memories come back of the old days when 7 days a week were must see TV on every channel!!

OK while it's true that this show was/is probably one of the most schmaltzy love letters to Californian life in existence, this theme song has such a great sun kissed feel good factor to it that you can't help but love it. It just takes you to that place of which it speaks and of course the nostalgia factor does not hurt either.

I watched this show when it was over two years ago. It was in 1998 at the cable television here in Brazil. At the time I was 17, I'm still young today. :) ( 29 years) Califorrnia dreams was one of the best sitcoms ever attended. Not missed a chapter on Wednesdays in the afternoon.

@rayme4raw I don't know about the actress who played her, but Jenny went to Rome.... I don't really remember why. I know it had to do with her singing. She was offered something - schooling, going professional, etc - and she had to go to Rome for it, so she did.

@Duchesscarml Thanks, it's amazing how some people who find a vehicle to showcase their talent on a regular basis leave because they want a bigger or better vehicle.  I finally googled her, her name is Heidi Lenhart and she's been in a dozen B (probably D) movies and 18 TV episodes as a guest. Best known for the Au Pair movie series, she did leave for a music school opportunity, but never seemed to do much with her musical talent after that.
