Actually in 1:30 its not an excuse ... the lyrics before that said that the banks became cathedrals and the fog became god - the money (banks) became like a church for ppl so they all rely on it... and the fog became god... - everyone stopped believing in god as they think its like a fog which comes and goes... so by the priests they mean the ppl who love money and are thirsty only for money and they start the war...
