man those 80's intros are badass. I still love em. I consider the 80's the golden age for kids television and the 90's the silver age. I'm glad I grew up in the early 90's I don't know how kids can enjoy all the lame stuff on now. That's not to say there isn't any good cartoons on now. Adventure time? Symbionic Titan? but most of the shows i grew up with weren't on cable networks.

I love thundercats, but catpeople from another planet fighting a mummy warlock is hard enough to make appeal too audiences, just try working in space mutants, a 12 year old king turned into a fully grown man, snarf, and future earth. and those are just the tip of the iceberg. it would take either a massive reinvention (wrong for fans) or a truly superb writer (allen moore if can get him onto the movie set itself) too make it ok
