Weeds has gotten like 30 covers of this song, and they're all made out of ticky tacky and they all sound just the same. Then people take these covers which are played by different bands but are still all clearly the same tired song, and they argue about which one is best, and buy covers of a song that has already been done a dozen or so times, not even realizing the intense irony of the situation. Listen to the lyrics again and take another look around the inside of your metaphoric box.

I love that they changed it for every episode after the first season, so creative and interesting but it did take extra the amount of work for them to chose it ....always gives me the anticipation for the next episodes theme...........i never want to miss a moment.

I’m well aware of what ‘contrived’ means (I’m not in the habit of employing words whose meaning I’m unaware of) and it sums up my feelings on the Rise Against cover exactly: that they’ve squeezed the song awkwardly into the mold of a 4/4 punk song, and that it doesn’t feel like it has come about naturally. Or to put it another way: it sounds contrived.

Linkin Park is a good band, and I do admit Rise Against has a great version of the song. when selia decides to make agrestic a drug free community, she puts up cameras and she even does a news interview for the unveiling of the first camera in agrestic...in the into where it shows 0:11 the fountain, you can clearly see 3 security cameras in place. they are there in the pilot for season 1 as well, so obviously celias cameras were not the first cameras in Agrestic.
As a whole, I think Rise Against is better than Linkin Park. Not their versions of the song, but their bands in general. Linkin Park is just one giant tool divided into little tools and I fucking hate them.
I said this was an abomination because Linkin Park is a horrible band. It has nothing to do with whose version is better, its the fact that they got them to do it at all. I havent heard the Rise Against version, but apparently its screaming. I think thats way more fucking original than this. I think the point of having all different artists doing the song is to give it a different genre each time, and LP just did it the same way as the original. Again..tools.

when selia decides to make agrestic a drug free community, she puts up cameras and she even does a news interview for the unveiling of the first camera in agrestic...in the into where it shows 0:11 the fountain, you can clearly see 3 security cameras in place. they are there in the pilot for season 1 as well, so obviously celias cameras were not the first cameras in Agrestic.

As a whole, I think Rise Against is better than Linkin Park. Not their versions of the song, but their bands in general. Linkin Park is just one giant tool divided into little tools and I fucking hate them.

I said this was an abomination because Linkin Park is a horrible band. It has nothing to do with whose version is better, its the fact that they got them to do it at all. I havent heard the Rise Against version, but apparently its screaming. I think thats way more fucking original than this. I think the point of having all different artists doing the song is to give it a different genre each time, and LP just did it the same way as the original. Again..tools.
