it is also interesting to find that julian bream has played such a rich repertoire and has explored so many things. i was particulary impressed and surprised when i saw bream playing jazz... now that was a revelation, bream playing jazz! and of course, the fact that he played everything from baroque to contemporary, and inside the baroque and contemporary (or all the other styles and periods of music that he explored) he didn't played one or two things he played many things!
A genius interpreter, a magnificent personality in the guitar world,...I remember hearing him in recital in the early 70's,...wonderful and inspiring memories.
Just to inform everybody: This is the pasacaglia and the theme "Come heavy sleep" by John Dowland
Both parts belong to Benjamin Brittens Nocturnal written for Julian Bream.
Unlike the traditional way of doing variations on a theme, Britten put the theme last.
And yes:
The "end credit" music is indeed the cancion del lladre arranged M.Llobet.
