I really doubt that the dog was put down, because that would be even worse than if they had been cruel to it in the making of the advert.. WHICH THEY WEREN'T! My old Jack Russel used to shake like that at the word 'bathtime'..

I've just seen this advert on the telly so they haven't taken it off yet. I wish they would though and can see why seeing a nervous trembling dog has caused some concern. If people start thinking it's normal to see a dog looking like this then abuse may go unnoticed. I'd like to see the advertisers shaking like this dog and then we can all have a laugh at them. When he's first out of the car, with no confidence, he's not naturally shivvering, he's on this vibrating plate thing. So they say, 500 people have complained so they stopped it. Our dog shakes exactly the same as this dog whenever she is out and about, in fact she looks like it!
Apparently its quite a common thing in Jack Russells - ours is a parsons jack russell (long legged)

way too many people going on about the dog shaking.. cruel to the dog ect.. these are the people who have obviously never had or seen many small dogs. they have a tendancy to shake, DUH! anyhoo, class advert and for those wondering

this is the best advert on tv currently and the creators are awesome some people have put comments on here and some have made fools of themselves .. the dog is supposed to look scared outside the car as this is what the advert implies "dog confidence, whilst in the volkswagon". this dog is NOT beaten, nor is it scared, the advert is full of trick photography, and in NO WAY were any cute little white dogs hurt during the making of this advert. some people really need to grow up.

errm, no, it has been trained, its not that hard to figure out! All you have to do is look at some dogs and they look scared because they THINK they have done something wrong. Anyone who says otherwise is such an eeegit!

Now there are so many adverts out there that just bust my fuckin arse cos they are so anoyingly shite,, but this is just pure class and is a joy to watch,, this is what I call an advert and the guy who thought it up definitely earned his wages with that one,, Excellent!!
