  • N is mentioned in 'the lurker at the threshold' one of lovecrafts and derleths work

  • three lobed eye is nyarlathotep, N is now lovecraftian, as much as stephen wants to deny it

  • 0:48 "three-lobed eye"?

  • I just noticed the hooks in the monsters mouth, pulling the lips back. That's just gross and creepy. Gonna go read some more Lovecraft and Machen, see if I can't scare myself a little more. Excelsior!

  • It actually reminds me a bit of Lovecraft's stuff. Crazy monsters slipping in from another dimension for no reason other than to f*** with humans. YAY for the goat with a thousand young.

  • @JorgensZelda and do not forget the name of the creature in this story: CTHUN.

Sounds a lot like... Cthulhu, eh?

Stephen King said he was inspired by "The Great God Pan" to made this story. But I'm pretty sure that Lovecraft was also a good inspiration for him.

  • @Wancho07 You're right. Considering that Arthur Machen's "The Great God Pan" was an inspiration for Lovecraft too.

  • @JorgensZelda And the 900 blind fiddlers or something like that! :)

  • Cool story but the monster designs are kind of pedestrian...

  • Actually, it's based on some of the old Arthur Machen stories. King mentioned that in an interview.

Machen actually has a story called N. but his version is closer to some other stuff out of The Three Imposters.

  • @disnywhite1 Similar to Jerusalem's Lot, aye, but a good read on its own.

  • i saw it too mister dumb***
