  • You should get some toilet paper in your kit. it is a life saver

  • could you slip a rubber band around the pack away from the button for the light? If you move the band onto the button if you need both hands, maybe it would hold the button to ON ? Just a thought --

    thanks :) nice vid

  • Check out my account im getting into this kind of stuff too!

  • my deasent knife...a mechetie

  • @erpiv ?

  • thats a small knife for your hand man, the handle is too short ..well thats just my opionion..but its all up to you

  • @vNstylez2004 I agree, but its a small package to begin with, which is sort of the point, I always carry a much larger pocket knife in addition to this kit for larger jobs. =)

  • I got a pocket survival pak today and I love it! U added a camando wire saw, water proof and wind proof matches, and a thermal blanket.

  • why $2 bill the r rare

  • @jUSTiNdEE22 The $2 is just for demonstration purposes. YOu put in whatever you want to. Thanks for watching

  • Ouch! $80 total for a few extra items? I got my original kit for just under $26. Those handful of items don't seem worth an extra $54. I carry lights on me. A small coin-cell light can be had for as little as $1. When folks are out and about in the wilderness, chances are they already brought along a water bottle, knife, and light with them.

Swiss Army Pocket Pal = $17.50

    Coin-cell light = $1.00

Cheap, large, water bottle = $3.50

Bottle of purification tabs = $6.00

    Original is better

  • @NGMonocrom Thats why I prefer to just add my own items, because I can do so much cheaper than AMK can. Thanks for watching

  • Thanks for the tip on the gerber bags... Just what I was looking for. Its like I always say... Lets all learn from each other. Joe Tactical

  • @joezbackwith2gatz Thank you for watching man and for all who contribute!

  • Very nicely done/good job upgrading your PSP. I have a couple of ideas for you:

    1. Remove the foil to save bulk. It has limited use & you've already got bag for water.

    2. Replace formula bag w/a trimmed oven bag marked for 1 Liter. Water purification tablets treat 1 Liter, you need a container that size.

    3. Maybe look at the Victorniox Rambler, same size but adds a bottle opener & Phillips bit.

    4. Replace the light w/eGear Pico Lite, Photon, etc that stays on.

    5. Try to fit a 15g Celox packet.

  • @mrkmdz yeah, those are good ideas. But you can use the foil not just for water collection, you can make a frying pan, signel mirror, fix hole in a shelter etc.

  • To find out about the thinking behind inclusions and exclusions of the kits AS PURCHASED, do yourself a favour and google doug ritter psp

  • If you need to use the water purification tabs in the breast milk bags, it will be purified, but you might not keep it down- it is going to be about like pool water. But all in all, a nice adjunct to the AMK/DR PSP.

Part of the reason you don't have the water tablets in the kit as it comes from the factory is that nothing in the PSP was supposed to have shelf life, but if you are putting power bait in there, then you know about things that go stale just sitting around.

  • Good advice.

  • Doug designed the kit so that people could add to it. Looks like you did well in your additions. It is good to see someone else add the Gerber bags and a sewing kit as well as the water purification tabs. Doug's expanded kit is great but with good quality products the price tends to be a bit higher. I keep my meds in a separate kit, a modified AMK .5 as a starter. 2 separate kits, one for each cargo pocket works for me.

  • Good idea on that bird food. Deff gonna use it in my kit. Nice video.

  • The Gerber formula bags are a great idea. Thanks for the tip. I am going to throw a few in my pack. Great video and ideas!
