You don't have to be a doctor to help someone...the first line of life, the most critical care, comes from paramedics and EMT's, and sometimes from lifeguards, First Aid rescuers, CFR's, or even a civilan with simple CPR certification. I'm not a medical profesional and I've saved a life before, so have many people. Saving a life can be as simple as putting your shirt on their wound and pressing real hard.
