Hello! Have you thought about intellectus 424 diet (search on google)? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my sister lost tons of weight with it.
Did you count the weight of the camera (if you were holding it while on the scale)? I think you've done a great job - you're human and you're not always going to win the battle, but you will win the war! Thanks for sharing your journey!
I'm starting my raw food diet in a few days (just waiting for my Breville Elite juicer to arrive). I plan to juice like crazy and eat as much much fruit and vegetables / raw food as I want, when I want. We'll see how it goes... All the best to you!
Forget discipline. There is not perfection; there is only practice. Focus on the present and not the past. Like that movie "What About Bob?" use baby steps to get to your goal. Love Food! If they ask you to eat their food, just decline and smile. Then eat your raw vegan food.
I'm not on a raw food diet. I'm on a mental diet and having setbacks. Listening to you I see I need disipline as well. I have to treat certain thoughts that I know are negative as " I can not think this". I see how negative thinking makes me feel just as miserable as eating a heavy cooked meal makes your body feel. I am now considering a raw food diet in moderation to start because the mental part is more challenging for me. I'm enjoying watching your journey. Thanks for sharing.
First, drink Yogi Detox tea..you have to rid your body of toxins. I don't know the hype about this whole raw ideals but you have to focus on the internal problem..the external eating is only a result of an internal problem. Compulsive was your key word here. Don't give up on yourself as you say..Walk..Walk...and Walk some more..Dont run...WALK...WALK..and when your done walking..WALK some more!!! It really works!!
i heard that i know so many people wh lost weight by just walking and some of them eat the same they just stop eating at night and that is so hard to do.
Cynthia you have given up, you said in March you would be Raw for April, you said the same in February. You have caused you to go a stray. Had you stuck to the plan you would have been around 50 pounds lighter. I bet you put more on next month. Come on Cynthia you either want to do this or not stop wasting out time and stop making excuses!!!
Hi, maybe you are getting on the scale too much. Just try to eat right and weigh once in every blue moon. Also, why don't you wear lipstick? I think you'd look really cute with purple or peach lipstick. You may want to use witch hazel too to take some of the oil from your face. You'll look even better with your healthy glow.
Thanks for all of the suggestions. I don't know about the peach lipstick (lol), purple I can handle, but my complexion isn't best with flesh toned colors. But who knows, I'll try anything once!
What is a typical menu for the week for you? We have a lot in common.
1- You live in Alaska and I want to live in Ala, but my husband says he does'nt think I ca handle it because I have joint problems. That is strange coming from a man that was born in a very cold country.
2. You work drive for special needs and I work with special needs.
3. You are changing your health for the better and I want to but need motivation.
I'll be sharing my menu on my blog site. Ah, I don't live n Alaska. Maybe you have me confused with someone else, and I don't drive for special needs. But the last one is right. LOL
"Fall seven times, get up eight". I LOVE that saying! Just finished watching your posts today. This was the second one I've seen so I don't know where you are right now with your journey. You have a GREAT attitude!! Don't give up! Keep moving forward!
I was prompted to begin a Raw Food Diet because I was diagnosed with Leukemia. Nothing like facing a terminal illness to MOTIVATE you into a healthy practice, eh? LOL. Its emotional, and finding and overcoming the block is the hardest. Clearing the toxins out of your body does help and that is done with raw foods. Start at a low % then increase slowly to a total raw food diet. Thats my plan. Good Luck & Peace.
Ive been in transition (80% raw food) for 3 months now and my blood tests are greatly improved. The dr said keep doing what im doing! I plan on reversing the disease and becoming healed! Thanks for asking mydeardiaries.
We are all creatures of habit... choose wisely... Watch out for peer pressure... have your hubby and your kids cook... stay out of supermarket ... Go to the Farmers' market ... God Bless
you have totally inspired me. my husband and i are going partly raw. we will go raw from monday - friday and off it two days to "shock the system", which is an old trick for those who do weight training.
i think the "shocking the system" part is important. our bodies are machines, but being organic it gets use to things (like certain exercises). mixing it up is important.
you can do it! you are inspiring and will pray for you that you meet your health goals.
You have to realize that while eating Raw, it detoxes your organs and body from the processed non-beneficial cooked foods, build up of free radicals, etc. So eating some raw every day would lead to healthier results. Peace and good luck.
Well, I am. And the things you mention, resonate with me, too. I don't believe in astrology by the way, but I find it quite interesting, that all of your characteristics you mentioned about yourself are mine, too. Except that I'm a white, skinny male...
Who is struggling to eat everything raw, has his binges (cooked food, even alcohol and cigarettes), meanwhile a very meticulous person and the only thing what can keep him on the right track, is discipline.
So I just sent you the response video again. I am really excited about the book I am putting together because it can really help folks who are interested in going raw to find a higher level of success with it. Its not an easy thing to get over addiction to food because it exists on so many levels. I hope to talk to you soon, Cynthia. I believe in you.
Sounds like you have every good intention to be healthy! i love your drive and believe you'll be back with greater strength :) you haven't failed~ you've just had a learning experience ^^
I have faith that you can achieve this. And remember: the word "no" takes 1 second to say. 1 second and you have power over a situation, you have absolute power over what you eat or don't eat. Tack a "thank you" onto the "no" when declining food as someone's guest, and that's only another 2 seconds. "No, thank you." 3 seconds. And you have absolute power over what happens to you in that situation. In just 3 seconds. Own it!
When I started raw, I knew I would go off of it if I didn't have snacks. So I told myself, you can eat whatever and as much as you want as long as it is raw. I made raw cookies, and sweets and ate as much as I wanted, the weight still come off. I noticed I started to experiment with new non sweet raw things and have learned to do that. Important thing is eat only raw, even if you gorge on raw sweets, just make it raw. This helped me alot. ~dan
i appreciate ur honesty... i enjoy ur journey. thanks for sharing. as a Caribbean woman living in a country famed for cuisine...I understand where u r coming from. press forward to june 1st! blessings...
MOTIVATION!!!! MOTIVATION!!! MOTIVATION!!!! Im not doing a raw food diet but i am counting calories and exercising. I have lost 13 pound in 6 weeks. I have all the knowlege and I know how to loose. Its hard work but It wouldnt have been posible if I wasnt motivated to stick to it. So find your motivation! Mine was just from watching others loose here on youtube! Keep the Faith and Good Luck!!
what finally turned me around? well, honestly, it was a number of things...about6 years ago i stopped eating red meat after getting sick from wolfing down 2 hamburger whoppers; then i went to get groceries one day at my 'regular' non-organic store...wow the strong smell of meat hit my nose...i thought of dead animals, same smell...yuck! PLUS the increase in energy i get after eating raw food is justification enough for me ... ~peace~
Pl read the book by Robert Young called PH Miracle for weight loss. I totally get it what he is offering as a solution to weight loss is our acidic food consumption. Balance your chemistry and the excess weight will fall off. I educate myself reading about what grains, sugar can do to our body and i totally stay away from it and i motivate myself reading lots of material about vitality and well being and how to achieve it. What matters is not food in your life but life in your food.
I would love to give you some suggestions about what I have done. That is, if you would be interested. Let me know in a message and I could give you a few ideas on why literal focused cleansing is so important on the process toward going raw. Its not just about resolve. You cant blast yourself into a raw lifestyle. It can be dangerous. You have to first rid your body of what is causing cravings. And, thats where cleansing comes in.
I commend your inner strength in this process. I believe just continuing in the process is really amazing. So many ppl give up so quickly. I can not claim to have had weight issues. For me, I personally battled many addictions, candida, and lots of flus and colds. But I have to say that the biggest thing that helped me was cleansing which has built into a multi step daily process. I spend time each day cleansing and it has done so much to reverse all the problems that you are talking about.
Michael thank you for your support and your offer to help. Since making this video, I have done a lot of thinking and it's not just my body that requires cleansing, but more importantly my mind. The mind is a very very powerful tool, and it's one that we seldom use. I will be hitting you up in regards to the literal focused cleansing. I have a 30 challenge that I want to complete. Thanks again!
behavior that we have to correct, and until we think about it and find the true source of our issues, we'll never change them. As long as you know in your mind and heart that eating what the media tells you to eat isn't the best of your body, then you already have success. As long as you desire change, you will work to achieve it.
a lot of different responses from this and I'm in no way saying that I put blame on anyone for my behavior, but were you really taught to have discipline in regards to what you eat and how much? Were you taught to have discipline in regards to money? How about in regards to your job or your relationships? Our parents were also conditioned to feel this way, act that way, and believe what you're told.
We were never taught to question or to form our own opinions. There is just to much learned
I'm glad to see that you are hanging in there, because I didn't. But after watching your video, I've decided to reboot as well and maybe record it. You made a valid point about just giving up.
I still owe you a personal message in response to yours. I honestly think we're TOO hard on ourselves at times and then there are times when we're not but should be. We have all been conditioned. I was thinking earlier today that we're not really taught at any time in our lives to have discipline, outside of when we were children and our parents tried their best to prevent us from making mistakes, but the majority of the time we were not taught to have discipline. I know I might get
Hang in there sweetie! You will make it. I know it's hard. One thing that helps me is that I am predominantly raw Mon-Fri, and on weekends I treat myself to a sandwich (on rye) or something each day. It takes a couple of days to even out the loss, but I still end up loosing a couple of pounds per week. Also, realizing that God did not make processed foods with chemicals in them really has turned them off for me, as we are suppose to glorify Him in all we do. How can being sick glorify Him?
I totally agree and that is another aspect of being raw that is very important to me. For me, this struggle isn't really about ME. It's about what I've done with the body that I was given, and you're right, I cannot glorify or exemplify our Heavenly Father if I don't develop the discipline that I need to do so. We are not our own and life is not about US.
Amen! We cannot do it without Him! Have you ever seen Paul Nison's (thedurianking) videos? He is really inspiring for me. He is a raw food author, who writes according to the Scriptures.
but weighing yourself more frequently, keeps you ontop of it, like if i see a gain i imediately can fix it, if i waited a month i could do a lot of damage
Sushicatny it's not about weighing. I could weigh everyday, but if I'm eating junk the results on the scale will still have the same outcome. I know my body and I can assure you that if I were to fast for the next seven days, those 5 pounds would be gone. I can feel the fluid retention all over my body, which comes from eating high sugar and salted foods, I.E. junk food. I think the fight for health and weigh loss is different for each individual, and I also think we each have out own
have our own demons to fight, but we also have our own reasons for wanting change. From a medical standpoint there are way too many variables that make up body weight especially in women. In my opinion, a month's time is enough for your body to adjust to weight changes. But of course it's a personal preference. We each do what we feel is best of us.
well for me actually seeing the number on the scale go up makes me want to do something about it, so it helps me alot, but yes each person is different and you have to do what works for you
Please see this as me only trying to support you and help. My question would be why is the scale moving in the wrong direction? For me it's because I'm not eating raw and instead eating junk, so the next step is to ask myself "why?" It's not always about the outcome, but the action that resulted in the outcome. If my numbers are getting higher and I'm not adding muscle to my body, then I'm not being disciplined, which for me is the bottom line. It's all about being disciplined.
for me its not about eating junk, its about eating to many calories, my favorite foods are raw, mostly raw sushi, but i love it so much i eat to much and consume more calories, which makes the scale go up, the scale keeps me in check but again thats just me
OH NO! Don't ever give up!! Glad you caught on to the background sound. It's called eerie angel. I wanted something suspenseful to go along with the weighing results. Thanks so much for commenting.
