In the wake of the tragic loss of Georgian luger Nodar Kumaritashvili at the Whistler Sliding Center course, take a good look at this course in Igls (near Innsbruck). Unlike Whistler, I see no metal supports or other structers lining the sides of the track. Although a crash could still toss a slider out of the track trough, it appears he/she would at least have a chance of surviving it, unlike at Whistler.
I think this is where they got the idea for the coneheads and the movie conheads, listen to how the recording of the guy announcing and the guy on the horn anouncing to the people and the the dudes that are yelling when the guy takes off for the run with the helmet,lol
I'm fairly certain that Akroyd's coneheads were inspired by the easter island statues.

I have a question though ... if the "Time to beat" on the left side of the screen is 51.79, and he registers a 51.93.
In one breath, Jackie remarks that he holds his second position. (As indicated by the clock), but then he says its a new track record. Go figure.
