  • FUCK RAP THIS SONG HITS EVERY RAPPER IN HIS GOB! fuckin' fast vocals, legendary song *__*

  • @TheBaum94 I'm with ya there!! I'm a session bassist & The Dubliners always put me in a great mood, esp. this song. I've played this to a couple of hip-hop friends & esp. when they hear the end that it was live & the reaction was always the same...."DAMN!!!" I love it!! None can hold a candle to this....

  • Honestly is there a single song that makes you wanna stomp your foot, clap your hands and smash your beer off the table quite as bad as this song does? The ultimate drinking song. Cheers and bottoms up boys!

  • @TheLumpatron Bron- yr- ar stomp

  • @ChrisDaFerWebb WHY? Why?! WHY? Why do you beg for likes? It means absolutely nothing.

  • @DjuraHedonism This was actually the first video i've typed saying 'like for/if' etc etc. I'm not begging for likes, it was jst for a laugh.

  • 忍不住来听听

  • @logdoors only real irishmen ;)

  • This is amazing.

  • God I love Irish music, it is the very definition of joy.

  • @colourmade why are they so upbeat i mean listen to the lyrics its so sad

  • @czar532 It's not really sad as much as it is anecdotal. The guy leaves a small town to go to the big city, gets sidetracked, gets drunk. Gets to the big city, gets robbed, gets drunk. Jumps on a boat pissed off, lets it go, gets drunk. Lands in England, gets in a fight, (later gets drunk, maybe with the guys he just beat the shit out of). This is about as Irish as it gets. Dia Ditch, Cial O'Briain

  • @logdoors i knew exactly what you were talking about. hahaha

  • @ihrtrugby13 haha i thought everyone would

  • One two three four five,

Hunt the hare and turn her down the rocky road

  • Weird stuff. I only got here because I watched the first Sherlock Holmes movie and it was right there. But wow... Honestly xD Not bad. Pretty catchy. Who else is here because of the Sherlock Holmes movie? XD

  • @LunaticCity8 I heard it first in Sherlock Holmes too, and then fell in love with it :D

  • @MrElithedeadman Lol I know right? It's so damn catchy! This isn't usually the kind of music i'm into, it's actually quite the opposite but it's still a really good song. It's truly an exception xD

  • @LunaticCity8 nah i already knew of it coz im another irish lad but i still saw it in sherlock holmes also

  • @127crisp Ahh lol. Well that's pretty cool. Seems you knew it way before I did. ^_^

  • Hunt the hare and turn er down the rocky road and all the ways to dublin WHACKFOLARDERA!! ;)

  • While in the merry month of May from me home I started,

Left the girls of Tuam so sad and broken hearted,

Saluted father dear, kissed me darling mother,

Drank a pint of beer, me grief and tears to smother,

Then off to reap the corn, leave where I was born,

    Cut a stout black thorn to banish ghosts and goblins;

Bought a pair of brogues rattling o'er the bogs

And fright'ning all the dogs on the rocky road to Dublin.

Who else Didnt hear that :D?

  • @JanWey91 ONE TWO THREE FUR FOIVE

  • @JanWey91

In Mullingar that night I rested limbs so weary,

Started by daylight next morning blithe and early,

    Took a drop of pure to keep me heartfrom sinking;

Thats a Paddy's cure whenever he's on drinking.

See the lassies smile, laughing all the while

At me curious style, 'twould set your heart a bubblin'

Asked me was I hired, wages I required,

I was almost tired of the rocky road to Dublin

now shurely every one heard that!

  • i would love to see the lyrics as the song was sang, love this song but I lose mr kelly at some point. He seems to sing faster then bizzy bone

  • @mehsfx

Needs a "follow the bouncing ball!" treatment

  • i really cant get enough of this song

  • I am not irish just black and I love this song when I first heard it in the Sherlock Homes movie I liked and everytime I watch that movie I sing along with the song.

  • Sherlock Holmes didn't brought me here... the dubliners did...

  • @TVDDC does it really matter?

  • having an awesome taste in music brought me here? sigh

  • Golliwogg APPROVES of this song.

  • This is the type of songs we need to sing at Celtic Park. The Depeche Mode can get themselves to fuck.

  • @ward445 I'll drink 2 drinks for ya in Hungary, TO IRELAND! :D

  • Bloody drunk Irishmen..

  • How is it possible that every single YouTube video turns into some sort of political debate? It doesn't matter what it is, somehow, you can fit abortion/Obama/Nazis into it.

  • @FlutterbyLullaby On the internet people are trying to convince people of their meaning...

    It's pointles nontheless..

  • @FlutterbyLullaby this song has nothing to do with usa.. its only about the rocky road to dublin 1,2,3,4,5 =) 3 cheers!

  • Too bad actual Irish people are not as cool as their music.

  • AMERICA! FTW!

  • i've been a big fan since way before i saw them in concert in uppsala, sweden in 73 or 74 (don't recall exactly...too much whisky between my ears since then).

  • @Trainspotter2480 Lol? I dont live anywhere close to England -.-

  • dubelin....hehe sounds so weird to a Englishman

  • It's songs like these that make me wish I was Irish :D

  • The One, The Only, Dubliners...................

  • 8 people love the color orange like this if your a true irishmen and get this

  • @jacob868 Orange is English livng in Ireland and Green is the Irish. It's in your flag... (with the white to represent the "peace"). You don't have to be Irish to know that -.-

  • I thought orange meant Protestant and Green meant Catholic, based on readings and songs like "The Orange and the Green", which make fun of the religious situation....

  • @bvandergucht Yeah you're correct but English are Protestant and Irish are chatolic so it's almost the same thing.

  • @43v3rguilty which is why im disapointed when people dont so that coment was to see how many irish people that watched this know there own flag and so far im disapointed

  • @jacob868 Umm last time I checked me and my family went with Green Not orange.... Hmmmmm I must be slipping in my age!

  • @jacob868 I dont get what the orange color means but id like to learn :P

  • @tilemacro the like and dislike meter is orange and green. the more dislikes you get the more orange on the meter. the more likes you get, the more green the meter gets

  • @tilemacro orange is for irish protestants?

  • @jdwmanning 'They' say that the green represents the Gaelic tradition of Ireland and the orange represents the unionists (protestants), and the white representis peace between them.

  • @jacob868 I'm not a true Irishman and I didn't get it but I liked it b/c I didn't want to be left out.

  • Comment removed

  • @jacob868 I don't get it? wtf!? :)

  • @madeinbelg

Orange is the colour of the Irish Protestants

Green is the colour of the Irish Catholics

hence why both of the colours are on their Country's Flag

though I have to side with green myself...

  • @BinLadenMustDie368

that is wrong the colours dont mean anything it was given to Thomas Francis Meagher by group of French women sympathetic to the Irish cause in 1848 and not used as the irish flag till after the 1916 rising

  • @eire32not26

naww... look it up... every colour on a flag stands for something... look it up

  • @jacob868 your a true Irishmen when you believe that even if your Irish and from NI (which i am not) are still your Irish brothers from the north

your a shame to Ireland for thinking like that

along with the 49 people who believe you

go back to your cave where you belong

  • @TheMuffinator100 Best thing about Americans. Their in America.

  • @jacob868 No one likes the colour Orange, they where just taking themselves a piss when god was handing out all the good colours... like green and even white... sometimes.

  • @jacob868

Protestantism isn't really a religion It's more of a hobby than anything else.

  • @bcallan1 lol.

  • thumbs up if u knew this song before sherlock holmes

  • I wanna go to Dublin!

  • This version is alright, but I prefer the High Kings version. Look it up. Pretty good.

  • @theonering93 You cannot be serious

  • @tony10396861 sorry. Its just that I heard it first and got used to it. I'm sure if I had heard this version first, I'd like it better, but the High Kings is just a little more upbeat. But I do respect the original Irish aspect of this version.

  • @theonering93 Well each to his own I suppose.... have you watched the live 1976 Dubliners version? It's on youtube, kellyoneill has it. Luke at his most energetic, upbeat best
