Hey dude, good run and nice quality work. I think you could have pushed a bit harder but it is a public road and you need to watch for bikers, peoples and animals etc so I see you were being cautious. Nice drift at 6:15 and the last few, although it was a close shave on that car man.. Must upload some of my runs up here some time, just need a decent camera setup.
@ndog37 What the camera doesn't show is the gravel all over the road (in case of ice, recorded in July) especially for the first 2mins, was deep! so most of the video I'm trying to keep the car in 2 narrow groves of grip, while going as fast as possible, it was really as fast as you could make an E30 go! (without killing a biker etc) until the brakes start fading 5 mins in haha.. Will make a fast summer one soon..
Love the video, Nice driving. Quick question though, the 'ground control suspension' you mention, is that the full coilover kit? Or the coilover conversion? Thanks.
@wannabie3 It's the full kit with the mounts and camber/caster plates etc. 350f/550r rates on the springs. (rear rate is effectively half of 550 for those who don't know e30 suspension)
@wannabie3 They actually have very good prices considering the quality of the stuff they make, it's really top notch. Every coilover kit I've seen for my friend's japanese cars just has such a cheap feel to it. I landed it in NZ for around $3000 NZD.
Yeah I thought of doing it myself too but I'm going to send it to GC and pay the $195. They claim to cut, shorten, weld, powder coat and assemble.
I'm getting a skid plate fabed to hopefully save my pan. Had to use a pan from a 635 on my 335 swap cus it was a bit more shallow. A few more bugs to work out and I'm good.
I cut the perches off myself, just left the original bead of weld there, and had the new perches welded on at a local machine shop. The best way to ensure it is level is to turn the strut upside-down, that makes the ride height collar level with the top of the strut, then have the new perch welded while still upside-down.
And I don't run my car low at all, I'd lose oilpans all day on this road ^. Rear camber is perfect at 1.5-2 degrees with stock geometrey and AKG 75D bushings all round.
Nice man, did you send your perches in to GC or did you cut and weld yourself? I have a swapped 335 and will be going with GC. Was thinking about dungeon motorsport camber kit for the rear. Do you find it necessary to get a camber kit for the rear with the GC?
Looks like an amazingly fun road.

My god, I never comment on videos, but your choice of road and driving are superb. Makes me miss my e30 and want to dump my e28 right NOW.
Thank you so much for posting this!
