Wtf are you idiots talking about? This editor is one of the most straight-forward development tools I've ever seen. If you're too dumb to learn how to use something as simple as this then maybe you shouldn't be modding at all.

I know Runic has to make money off the game. And TorchED is just a nice offering to the people. But, please, please, please, assign someone at Runic to spend some time making it easier to use! And how about a nice little PDF file that tells us how to build a simple level. Add some content, do some stuff and play it in the game. Would go a long way to solving the problem of ARGGGGHHHHH!!! WTF?!!!

i kno theyve made this only usable for like hardcore modders definatly not for the normal person to just hope in and start makin little levels and monsters. they really need to make a simpler torchED or a "dumbed down" version for others

I've tried modding stuff before and this one is actually one of the easiest editors I've seen. You just need to find a tutorial to get you started, I'm sure there're plenty.

i can't make the editor come up....it keeps loading and loading and never stops, and if i click anything it stops working and says not respoding idk whats wrong

It is not hard at all.

Go to View--Palette

If you want to make a Crypt dungeon, click CRYPT then Wall. It will show you all the wall available for the Crypt tileset.

If you only click Crypt then floor to see all floor, etc.

Same goes for all tileset such as fortress lava palace etc.

At the moment Im having all kinds of issues with the editor, one of the worst being placment of objects. They look perfect in the editor but when going into game mode in the editor, they are placed in completely different places. As you can imagine, having the editor misplace things like walls really bungs up a level since it might get placed in a postion where the character can't get around it.  Reported on the official forums and hoping for a reply from Runic on this issue over there.
